HTC's Magic manual exposed for your downloading pleasure

We've seen it in slimming black and striking white (way before Labor Day), and now we've got some titillating pictures of what's going on underneath courtesy of HTC's own service manuals, leaked in PDF form for both the G2/Magic and the T8290/Quartz. Both offer nearly 100 sultry pages of assembly and disassembly information, including full photo spreads showing the phones' naughty bits splayed to the winds. For those who read the articles, there are comprehensive descriptions on how to re-flash the pair, which should come in handy if you're never content to leave good enough ROMs alone. The only question now is: where can we get a pair of those dashing pin-striped gloves?

ON a related note (sort of) I went into a TMO store yesterday (NYC) to get a phone after I lost my Curve over the weekend (bummer). Anyway, I asked offhand whether the G2 would be coming to TMO USA. The agent (who seemed to be extremely gadget aware) said "well we've been told informally, and informally only, to expect the G2 to be available with us in December '09. Could be sooner, could be later, but we were told December."

Anyone else heard anything like this?

december? They have to be kidding. I've waited too long. i waited for the G1, passed, waiting for the a better one with a keyboard like the memphis. But i guess it's not gonna happen since it will probably come out after this magic. Hell there ought to be a new iphone out by then too. Hell i'll be getting a Pre then I guess?

I believe the pinstripes in the gloves are meant for static electricity dissipation. I have a lab coat with similar pinstripes for that purpose exactly.

I'm pretty happy they didn't use the standard white gloves, though I'd prefer a black pinstripe type of glove!
