Think from a retailers perspective.... Its setting up a pitch for HD wires with a TV , Blu ray or even upconverting DVDs. What comes in the boxes of all those products? Composite. InSOME cases you get better. What do you need to buy to get the picture difference? Sure maybe not huge margin monster wire - but I'm sure that not the objective for them at all.
