Samsung's NC310 netbook with claimed 11-hour battery

Oh look, a "new" netbook. New on the outside anyway. Within, Samsung's NC310 offers the typical 1GB of memory, 10.1-inch LCD, 160GB disk, 5-hour battery, 802.11b/g WiFi, 1.3-megapixel camera, HSDPA data, and WiBRO (mobile WiMAX) too if you live in SoKo. A claimed 11-hour enhanced battery is certainly intriguing and perhaps Sammy's got a surprise or two in store with the unannounced processor, graphics, and price when the NC310 goes global "pretty soon," according to Akihabara News. Available in teal and mauve because country kitchens motifs never go out of style.

Who cares about the battery life? I don't think it says SAMSUNG big enough. Make that twice as big and it moves into must buy territory.

Well, thank goodness it's a known and more respectable brand. How would you like a big GPX or JENSEN logo on the back of that netbook.

Call me different, but I like the rounded look of the casing. Why do all netbooks have to look alike anyway?

How comes nobody has noticed the keyboard? Is it me or is that the first seriously nice offering for a netbook? Sure the outside looks like it's actually your kid's first toy computer, but is it any worse than a giant "Eee" in a horrible font splattered over it? ;)

Unknown processor and graphics? I mean, let's be certain it's probably some variant of the Atom (my guess goes to the 570) and either a GMA500 or X3100 for the graphics. Sheesh.

She's holding sdamsung gear with what looks like a big permanent samsung logo on the wall and she's on an tokyo site, so I'm guessing you'd have to contact samsung's HQ to find out.
