If we had to guess, this is the ROM destined for the
Rhodium / Wing II that'll hopefully be hitting T-Mobile later this year, but for now, you're getting it served to you on a drywall putty-encrusted
Touch Pro2 for some reason. Or maybe it's peanut butter, cake frosting, or Aspercreme -- we really couldn't tell you -- but we can tell you that no amount of Windows Mobile-induced desire is going to get us to touch this thing without latex gloves. Good news is you can grab the ROM for yourself and install it on something with a little less organic material smeared all over it, or do as the rest of the consumerati do and simply wait for an official release -- however long that might take. Your call.

YES! I am now an Android believer. I'm doing things with Android that is truthfully possible on others, but Android is the only one (besides Mobile Mac OS X...if they ever stop being bastards) that gives it so easily, simple, and wonderful. Android is just a breeze. The simple way to get apps. The theme changes...its just nice. I need a Touch Pro 2 with Androids immediately....thank you!

It is covered in GOO because it has subtle design changes that make it obvious that it is coming to T-Mobile and so they cover in GOO so that you can't see the specific design elements that have changed or the huge t-moble logo in the front center.

I used to see those cars covered with plastic and wonder what they looked like underneath for about a second and then I realized I didn't care.
But goo on gadgets to hide design changes?! Amazing. This I could get used to.

The day this phone drops on T-Mobile I'll be in line for one. I've been waiting for T-Mobile to get the original Touch Pro which disappointingly doesn't look like will ever happen. This is going to be worth the wait though.

is it just me or does that look a little on the thin side? the touch pro 2 is not exactly the thinnest device, so it would only make sense that it would be as thick as the G1 next to it, or ever thicker... dono
No no no and no! Don't you guys get it?! It's clearly cause it got too close to the G1 and got CUPCAKE smeared all over it.
i hope T-Mobile doesn't get this phone b/c they wont even begin to offer 3G where I live until winter, and thats a maybe! Come on AT&T or Verizon.
