Concord C1 QuantumGravity watch defies reality, shows itself

We're still trying to wrap our heads around some of the indecipherable verbiage the company has used to describe it, but it looks like Concord's C1 QuantumGravity watch is at last very much real, and one step closer to actually being available (to a very select few). As you can see above, while there's still a few finishing touches remaining, the watch itself is pretty faithful to all those early renders that the company has been teasing us with since January, right down to the magical "fluorescent nanoparticle liquid" that's used to indicate the life remaining in the 3-day power reserve. Those curious about all things mechanical and tiny can also get a look at the complete build process by hitting up the read link below, or simply head on past the break for a video full of much spinning and unnecessary Matrix-style imagery.

Let's see this on Engadget's Recession antidote!
but can it play crisis?
Sorry guys, but I'm lost. What is so great about this watch? (other than cool renders)
I like to watch!
Men get basically two pieces of jewelery. One ring and one watch....that's about it.
Why does Daniel Craig as James Bond wear an Omega when he could just 'check his cellphone' for the time?
Why did Paul Newman wear a Rolex Daytona? I'm sure he could have gotten something a lot less expensive just to tell the time.
Because it looks good. The world isn't a practical place and neither are the people in it.
And thank G_d it isn't.
All those amazing tiny parts. Reminds me of my disposable razor and disposable ballpoints.
reminds me of the gyrotourbillon

I went crazy looking at watches I never even knew existed. Those watches are engineering marvels but they're way out of my league. I'll have to settle for my Casio WaveCeptor.
I don't get it. What's so special about this?
My Omega Automatic (Geneve Dynamic) serves me fine, though it shows dents of time. It's been worn from the day it was bought and it has a pretty worn look by now. I've to say it was never serviced from the day it was bought, ought to be some 20+ years if not 30 (don't really have the date and papers anymore, nor a clue when it was actually made).
It's also loosing minutes a day which in few weeks tends to be 10+ minutes of being late, so I guess it's pretty banged up inside, so I ought to get it refurbished, but I just can't make myself give it away for few weeks, I really love that watch, no matter that it probably one of the cheapest Omega models out there (also don't have a clue about pricing :)
The commercial is fake. Look at the video when she walks in the store. You'll notice a bald guy walking by her and then a second later when she leaves the store the bald guy is still walking by the apple store. She didn't even step foot into the store enough for the Apple reps to greet her. She is an actor and this commercial is a fake. They could have at least spent the extra money to properly edit this video.
Cool!!!!!!!!
Must. Have. Watch.
