While I think Open Pandora is quite cool (and I think I will purchase one eventually) it being "better" is highly subjective. If you enjoy games by Nintendo, Capcom, Konami, etc, then the Pandora will suck, will it not? If you're the tinkerer, enjoy linux varieties, open source portable games, emulators, and value these moreso, then it could be better, but not everyone will feel the same way...

No thanks, am happy with the $130 I saved buying my super lovely (and
super hacked) DS lite... enjoying Samurai Shodown IV and GTA:CW right
now :)

I would pay $200 MORE if this was Nintendo's next-gen handheld... but it's
not.

Cartridges = Fodder. Better than UMD, though. However, instant downloads for games is the way to go.
