I'm Swedish, and yes, 'Herr' just means the same as 'Mr.' in English. Just because it's German doesn't mean it's not the same in other languages.
Btw, Stefan Eriksson was part of the so-called Uppsala Mafia. He's done far worse things than create a failing gaming console and crash a car.
Auch a Scandinavian mafia, sounds awfully weird :P
Actually it´s Herr in all of the Scandinavian countries Denmark, Norway and Sweden!
