OBAMA PC sure to bring hope to your desktop, a tear or two to your eyes

Obama's already inspired a cell phone and an MP4 player, but this is the first desktop we've seen tipping its hat to our Commander in Chief. What's really awesome about this one, of course, is that its makers (Taiwanese company SEED) seemed to think that merely naming the PC "Obama" would result in capturing some of the magic... because other than the name, it's just a plain-old, boring desktop. It packs a patriotic Atom N230 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and a 500GB SATA hard drive, plus it's got four USB 2.0 port and an ethernet port around the back, just to name a few. The presidentially named PC is only available in Taiwan, for the oh so affordable price of NT$7,999 (about $242). We're kind of hoping this is just the first in a long line of POTUS-named PCs for SEED, so may we suggest the next one be dubbed POLK or FILLMORE?

yeah wow, so obviously it will have to rin Windows Me so that everytime it crashes you can push the bailout button on the front.

I guess the same applies for our current president. Other than the name, Prez Obama is just a plain-old, boring President. I am surprised they didn't include a teleprompter with that PC.
How many trillions does it cost?
And does it come with Adobe Teleprompter 09 preinstalled?
In about a year or two you'll realize your just paid a very high price for a crappy computer.
If you want me to take a dump in a box and call it Obama I will, I got spare time.
The “OBAMA PC” would only be valid if it could take a steaming pile of 8 year old crap, er components, and run Crysis. Guess what, not gonna happen!

We are already in a "Crysis" so it's safe to say that this pc can run it. The real question is, "can this bow really low to the Saudi prince?"
If it was a true obama PC it would be free (paid by tax payers), but only to certain people.....Maybe that's where my $10 a week stimulus package is going???

I guess you guys cant read the short paragraph under the picture but the price is $242 USD, this is being sold in Taiwan for $7,999 Taiwan dollars.

Anyway, I will chip in with my own comments. The fact that Bush would never (not even in September 2001) have had a PC named after him should reveal a few clues.
I don't mean to start a racial war about this one, but there is some irony in the computer being black.

Yeah he's half white and half black but generally, everyone just seems to see him as fully black, he certainly looks a lot lot more black than white. Even I find it hard to believe he's part white.
It would be more significant if it was the first black PC...

Last month I flew halfway around the world to Brussels and the tourist shops had Obama t-shirts. WTF - nothing against the guy, but enough with the Obama branding. Or, Obama should get licensing royalties from these companies to fund the American debt.

One of the criticisms of Bush was that he could not speak well off the cuff. It appears that Obama has the same problem not being able to speak well without a teleprompter yet the media gives him a pass.
its because obama never has the chance to speak off the cuff. he uses a teleprompter for even the simplest recordings, such as introducing someone by name...
