It's certainly better designed than most netbooks. For some people, that will be worth the extra price. It at least looks like some thought and effort went into it.
Was I the only one not surprised to hear a plainly-presented woman who could sing? I'm not sure if people find it comedic or moving but evidently droves find it to be both.
How many programs can actually use the video decoder that's missing from this?
Hahaha. When i finished reading i thought... this must have been the work of Thomas Ricker, and I checked and it was.
Cutting on Susan Boyle ( or using her to draw attention to a Netbook review) shows no taste or class. If thats the best the writer can do to get our attention, seek employment elsewhere because her singing career is about to leave your journalistic career in the dust. Very, very poor taste.
Jesus, lighten up. All it is is an image of her with her thumbs up. I think Susan Boyle is very happy about all the publicity she is getting.

The first time I saw Susan Boyle, I really thought she was a man who had a sex change. Imagine how ashamed I was when I found out she really is a woman. She has the voice of an Angel, I hope she gets a sweet record deal.
She's basically been signed by Sony already according to her Wikipedia page. Now its just a matter of whether she wins Britain's Got Talent or not. Either way, she has a record deal.
Yeah, yeah - she is an amazing singer and we all love a good underdog story.
...but the next person that uses the word 'Angel' in a sentence describing Susan Boyle gets a punch in the nuts.
People seem to be falling all over themselves to offer up redundant, mind-numbing commentary about her (and everything else I suppose). Being the 100 millionth person to comment along the lines of "Susan is Angel from god! She shows all of us jaded souls what true inner beauty is!" should be a punishable offense.

IRemind me to come over to your house and call your mother or sister or aunt a " wooly-eyebrowed chub". Maybe thats a flattering statement in your neighborhood, but not mine. That kind of statement is what has caused much of the controversy surrounding Miss Boyle. Point is, it was not needed and has no place here. I can go over to Perez Hilton if I wanna read remarks directed at peoples physical appearance. Period. Many people have hoped that this whole Susan Boyle situation may bring to light peoples feelings and sensibilities. Obviously not in some cases.

The bottom line is that she is ugly. that's a fact. She knows it as well, and if you watched the video she was making a bit of fun of herself.
Yes, she has a marvelous voice, but if she gets rich off of this it will be in large part because she is so unattractive. She's taking advantage of that fact and the shock value to make something of herself and make some money, and more power to her

You have an excellent point. Unfortunately, this is the Internet. Common sense, sensitivity, and compassion for human emotions bear no weight here. :-/

This netbook design wise looks awesome, but the price is too high, especially when netbooks $200 less(EEE 1000HE) get double the battery life.
