Samsung does things backwards, gets official with N110 / N120 netbooks
It's odd, really. Shortly after Samsung's N110 ($469) and N120 ($459) netbooks went on sale and saw reviews, the creating company has at long last come forward with official press shots, specifications and pricing. Not surprisingly, both machines are confirmed as "on sale now," with the pair sporting a 1.6GHz Atom N270, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 10.1-inch WSVGA display, 160GB hard drive, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, three USB 2.0 sockets and a 1.3 megapixel camera. If you're wondering how the N120 got ten points closer to the top rung, it ups the ante ever-so-slightly with a "2.1-channel" sound system, a six cell Li-ion battery and a 97 percent full-size keyboard.

What do you think, are these any better than the Asus eee?
This one goes to 2.1
Uhm, excuse me? Mention the claimed 10.5 hour battery life? That puts it wayyy up there. Of course, seeing what this thing gets in real world testing is probably the better estimator.
They were probably trying to save money on advertising, hoping for free publicity, which failed them so they're now paying for it.
Except according to the press release the N110 has the better battery of the two...
N110 Six-cell (5900mAh) Lithium ion battery for up to 9 hours of use
N120 Six-cell (5200mAh) Lithium ion battery for up to 6 hours of use
WTF?
Yeah, their PR writer jacked it all up. Makes it look like the N110 is better than the N120.
Yes, quite the blooper. The Samsung site claims 10.5 hours for the N120
isn't the NC110 battery better than the NC120? That's why it costs $10 more? Plus the NC110 is smaller than the NC120.
the problem with these ten inch computers is the touchpad. i tried it a few days ago but they are just too small! why don´t they put one of these thinkpad-like knobs in there?
Soo,... Engadget is gonna update the site... Which means the comment system will be fixed. I'm assuming the petition I started had everything to do with it. Hoorah!!
Looks junky to me
Ahh, I see what you did there...
OK... so the prices are off, right? Or is it really cheaper to get the better one?
I'm writing on a Samsung NC10. I'm getting 6+ hours of battery life. It's freaking amazing. Best ~$400 I've spent.
How is the NC10 build quality and where did you buy it from?
Samsung netbooks are slightly higher quality than most others, but cost about $90 more.
