Alienware prepping "Allpowerful" laptop for next month

When it's not busy perpetrating negative stereotypes about alien cranium sizes, Dell's Alienware has been known to throw together a product teaser now and then. This latest one points to 20 days in the future, when Alienware will presumably unveil a "new gaming laptop & computer" (according to the header) dubbed "Allpowerful." Seems a little pretentious, sure, but we wouldn't expect anything less. We'll see y'all in June.

Everything except for the wobbly screen has been fixed. Screen isn't even wobbly really, just creaks when I open or close it.

Well, I'm sure it will play Crysis better than mine, but my new G50 plays it on high and was $900... I personally don't think it will be worth the $1100+ more than what mine cost to bump up the settings one notch.

Anyone wants a gaming laptop, go get the G50 from Best Buy and immediately install Windows 7 over Vista 64. I haven't gotten all the drivers back on (the function key isn't working), but it fixed the problems Vista was giving me.

Oh wow, alienware might finally catch up to some of the cheaper clevo notebooks in 20 days! How impressive. Buy a faster computer from sager/xoticpc for half the price. Failware FTL

Man, I stopped buying alienware years ago. Worse customer service after I bought three of their computers. I will never deal with them again, and I highly advise you stay clear to save yourselves headaches as well.

Customer service has been okay for me. Nothing spectacular, but not bad either. They're probably the second-best company I've dealt with (in terms of customer service, IMO).

My guess is it'll have an 18.4" configuration with some 1920 x 1080 display, two GTX 280m GPUs in SLI, a desktop Core i7 CPU, and a 12-cell Li-ion battery that'll last a half an hour while gaming.

Well all i can say is..BUILD YOUR OWN PC FOR YOU WILL BE MUCH HAPPIER AND MORE POWERFUL ;) And oh its built your way not the well i used to love the alienware but now it be dellware and that is just what i am getting at. I used to drool at the the sight of their machines, but now I know you can get the same hardware cheaper. Alienware is so overpriced it's worse than Mac's pricing because Alienware machines run on Windows. I mean no slight to Macs or Windows but Alienware's machines aren't offering anything that's worth paying for the brand itself.

If they made Linux-based machines and absolutely guaranteed that it could play every game, then they be offering something worth the substantial price tag.

a sager or clevo core i7 17" laptop, let's go with Blu-ray reader, probably just 6gigs of ram, nvidia gtx 280m and probably an ssd as the main drive and a 500gb data drive. thats my prediction.

A gaming PC is a gaming PC because it can be efficiently upgraded to the latest hardware every 3-6 months. A gaming laptop is destined to become a boat anchor within 12 months from purchase, with a price premium for the privilege.

This might be the ominous sign of alien's landing worldwide.The countries listed in the choose language option in the all powerfull website might be the countries where alienware is gona land during computex this year(there are whole lot of new countries like india,singapore,etc..).this might be part of alienware worldwide strategy.check it out guys.

Do NOT buy this machine. Dell have taken Alienware, and amazing company, and totally screwed it up. I have been waiting for weeks now and never hear back from anyone.
