MSI Wind U200 gets official, handled in Taipei
Oh hey, guess what else Engadget Chinese got hands-on with today? The MSI Wind U200 that leaked yesterday. Official specs on the Wind U100 followup are just like we said: 12-inch, 1366 x 768 pixel LED-backlit display, Celeron ULV SFF 723 processor, GMA 4500M graphics, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 2GB of DDR2 memory, and 250GB disk, and 1.4-kg with 3-cell battery. Still no pricing or release but we're sure that Computex (kicking off June 2nd) will change all that.

this still counted as a netbook or an ultraportable??
Well I would say ultraportable, it has no atom cpu but a Celeron ULV, and 720p resolution with a 12" screen, that's definitely a ultraportable. I understand your confusion though, since the definition for a netbook nowadays is all over the damn place.
3cell battery -_-
why wouldnt you want to pay 50$ extra to get twice the mobilty?
intel seriously needs to quit making gpu's...seriously!
are you serious?
GPUs bitch, not CPUs.
I am getting tired of all these Intel GMA4500 Graphics, I want (Really want) some Ion netbooks.
Though as far as netbook ultaportable mixes go I like this one. (I just wish it had ION)
Yeah GMA is not great.
Ion should be interesting, although i expect it will be slightly less awesome in everyway that what everyone has been predicting.
I cannot wait until a Windows 7 dual core Atom Ion graphics OLED screen 11" netbook is released.
(Or for that matter one with OS X...)
Any hope for an UMTS version soon? Then it would be really "ultraportable" for me.
And another stupid question: Any hope for a *non*glossy display
Seriously, wth do companies have against matte displays?!
Hey glossys are just fine.
provided you are sitting in a perfectly dark room
Eww3-cellsIntel GMA
