Lenovo's IdeaPad S10-2 now available to order
Without question, the hottest product in Lenovo's lineup right now is the recently unveiled IdeaPad S12, but if you're not up for waiting (or if you just prefer the 10-inch form factor), you can wiggle your cursor over to the outfit's S10-2 portal. Starting today, the refreshed S10-2 is up for order, with current shipping estimates pegged at "within 16 business days." The unit is available in black, grey, white and pink starting at $439, but as always, it'll be tough to skip over all those customizations on the way to checkout.

I like the prices but Im not sure why they are advertising it shipping in 16 business days, not really something you want to put out there...
Because the longer that they advertise, maybe the less pissed off the customer will be when it does ship a month later. I've waited almost 2 months now for my x200s when it was advertised to ship within 9 days.
There's an S-10 (Sony Clie' flashback anyone?) on display at my Radio Shmack store.
It seems like an awesome little machine, and even sports an ExpressCard slot, but I was ultimately put off my the very short run time on the stock battery.
wheres the ion option?

First - what's with the "Target"-looking mini-logos on the outside cover? Does Target have anything to do with this?
Second - glossy screen?! Brrr...No, thank you, I prefer my S10 with its traditional and very useful matte screen!
Where's my 720p display option? Come to think about it, where are *any* hardware options?
so... let me get this straight... they're charging $100 MORE for a new case, glossy screen and the lack of an express slot??
seriously, the S10E is $349 all day (that's the 6-cell version)... WHY is this thing $439?
Ummm, when Engadget covered the PR on these the price was $349 + $50 for the 3G model, how is it that they are now $439???
The price will probably drop once S10 stock is gone.
$386 is the cheapest you can pick up a S10-2.
you didn't look very hard -- i just bought an S10e for $349 from newegg...
I don't understand why they are charging so much when this doesn't even come with Nvidia's Ion platform. It is running the same old hardware as any other netbook. Hell, someone could run down to Best Buy and spend $350 on a netbook with the exact same specs. I could see upping the price if it came with Ion but it doesn't (unless I am not reading their website correctly).
16 days? We are talking about a Lenovo netbook, right? 16 weeks would be more accurate. Or months.
Nonsense! I have ordered Lenovos twice and they both came within 3 weeks.
