Zeo's Personal Sleep Coach makes money from your insomnia

We've seen a few devices that claim to cure insomnia with expensive lights and magnetic headgear, but if you're serious about getting some sleep you should definitely check out Zeo's Personal Sleep Coach. At night a SoftWave sensor-equipped headband collects data pertaining to your sleep habits (or lack of), which you can then parse on your PC (via SD card). It's like having a University sleep clinic right there in your flop house! And if that isn't enough, the device's SmartWake alarm clock can be set to get you out of bed at your "natural awakening point," decreasing the grogginess one feels when waking from Deep sleep. Order now for $399 and get free shipping. Sort of pricey, sure, but much more cost effective than that $1.5 million dollar floating bed -- which doesn't actually look that comfortable, at all. We need Zeo megasleep power, now!
I thought that was a pip-boy for a second...
I can't watch the vid at work, but how does the data on my computer help me get to sleep? I have insomnia so I am curious as to how this would benefit me.
It also measures what type of sleep you are in and gives you a "report card" in the morning. You can then download this to your computer and then compare this data to events throughout your day to pinpoint what might be causing your poor sleep score. Maybe you are drinking a caffeinated beverage too late in the day or not exercising that morning, etc. Having this data helps you improve daily habits that might help you sleep better.
sleepcoach.net has scientifically proven CBT and live sleep coaches for a fraction of the cost.
I want an alarm clock that measures my morning wood.
No point, your wood will be just as small in the morning as it will be at night.
the idea of an alarm to wake you at the correct point in your sleep pattern is exciting. The downside is that when you can't sleep any little thing starts to both you. Trying to sleep with this on your head will probably drive you nuts, unless you are already sleeping well and will have time to adjust to sleeping with this on. I have a CPAP and it took me a few days to be able to go a whole 8 hours without waking and tearing the mask from my face.
Why can't you sleep in the first place? If it's lots of stray thoughts, e.g. mind just not shutting up, you can do something about if, read A New Earth by E. Tolle for example. It will tell you how to observe your own mind's thoughts rather than getting taken over by them. I mean, who's running the show up there, you right? And you want to go to sleep, not think about a zillion things. So learn how to observe which automatically leads to control.
Pills and so on is just treating symptoms.
Right the above was @Richard ^^^ thanks frakking comment system, you suck as always.
There's an easier way to help fall asleep...it's called weed.
How about something that won't get me fired?
But if it's waking me up at my "natural awakening point," am I not waking up at that point anyway? Why do I need this device (other features aside) to wake me up when I'm already naturally waking up anyway? I have a feeling someone will correct me and make this make sense, but it sounds silly as is. :)
Your sleep goes in cycles though the night which are basically light sleep to deep sleep. Obviously being woken from a light sleep is better then being forced out of a deep sleep. So when they say "Natural awakening point" what they mean is the point in the cycle where it is best to wake up, not the time that you would wake up anyway.
I wonder if it takes into account getting woken up multiple times a night by my baby boy?
Get a job, rummy!
The rest of the world wakes up when the goddamn alarm clock says so. ie: *not* naturally.
I assume you set this for 05:30 (yeah rummy, you read that right) and this thing gets you up a bit earlier or later if it detects you're naturally almost awake anyway.

I like the European version that this copied.

That one had a wristband that makes a little more sense. This one would hurt if you sleep on your stomach with you face down into the pillow.
I have one, and I also happen to sleep on my stomach. The thing on your forehead doesn't push into the pillow, because you turn your head to the side when you sleep face down. Any position where the Zeo's head band would put pressure on your forehead would hurt your nose, too, and then there's the hole issue of suffocating if you sleep with your face in your pillow.
If there's one thing that won't help me sleep it's having to wear a headband covered in sensors all night.
I have obstructive sleep apnea. I am already hooked up to a face mask connected to a CPAP machine when I sleep to maintain positive pressure in my airway to help me sleep at night.
Currently the CPAP machine already monitors my breathing. It would be great if this Zeo can be integrated with the face mask to gather other sleep data.
i seriously need this.
Ambian works better, so what if you sleep walk and find leftovers in your bed.
I sometimes dust while sleepwalking.
The strap would bother me.
Way too expensive
But it really is way cool
No insomnia!
it won't work.
Power Rangers Zeo?
I would lose sleep wondering why I paid $399 for that thing
It *is* a university sleep clinic! The founders spun out of the 2004 graduating class of Brown University!
I think I need a personal sleep coach. I'm typing this post at 3:24 in the morning! Yikes!!! Visit me at http://www.bangorshopping.com
