I think you might find that they have got confused with what Microsoft have said, MS have said that they will treat Natal Launch LIKE a new console Launch, with a launch lineup from 1st and 4rd parties, and big advertising campaing etc, very similar to the 360's actual launch.
So yes we will get a new console, but just like we got a new one with NXE, it will be a Re-Launch, not a new console.
However if they do bring a 'new' console out with the Natal, it will be a purely design based one, with perhaps integrated WiFi (like the Wii) and perhaps a larger HDD, certainly no power improvements under the hood, no matter what developers say, there's still more to come out of the 360, just like there is still new improved stuff showing up on the PS2.
If Sony keeps losing franchises like Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid, there will be nothing left to justify spending so much for a Blu-Ray player that happens to play games. (Hey, their marketing, not mine),

LOL the only thing you need is free online playing and you would get a ps3
They'd have to get rid of the games to make it a PS3.
@ Mark
You mean the PS3 'has no games'??
Oh, perlease!
Do you still really believe that?
Did you watch E3? Did you see the PS3 lineup? Motion-controllers aside, Sony hit a home run with games.
