Sony has taken a few of its developers aside and doled out a few new morsels of info about its upcoming
PlayStation 3 motion controller. Leaving the
Sixaxis as the black sheep of the family, the wand supports force feedback from the get-go, and up to four of the devices can be tracked at one time. The technology can work in conjunction with
PlayStation Eye's face / head tracking and built-in mic, but naturally that's gonna tax the Cell processor more. The company's reportedly considering some joint use of the motion remote and standard controller, with the example given of holding the wand as sword and
DualShock 3 as shield. We're not sure if that'll somehow count additionally toward the max wand limit -- probably not, at the expense of not using the more accurate color-changing ball tracker -- but it's definitely more cost efficient for the consumer than having to pick up another remote. Tentatively launch window is still Spring 2010, which as it turns out is infinitely more than what we know about
Natal's release date at this point.

You obviously know nothing about anything you comment about...
I'm thinking the ps3 has a better chance of succeeding than natal if sony doesn't screw it up. This controller needs to be way cheaper than natal to succeed and rightly so, because the processing is done by the ps3 and some people already have the eye. Natal can't be that cheap if it requires the hardware to do the processing. Besides, having buttons and force feedback gives it more options and possibilities than natal. I don't think natal can do all that it advertise to do.

I thought this magical Cell processor was years ahead of it's time and could handle practically anything you threw at it and cure cancer? Not hating on it, In fact I'd love a PS3, but I can't believe they're concerned about this. Makes you wonder how much this Cell processor can really handle.

To further clarify it... I quote from the great wikipedia (along with other sources but this is the easiest)
" PlayStation 3 uses the Sony, Toshiba, IBM-designed Cell microprocessor as its CPU, which is made up of one 3.2 GHz PowerPC-based "Power Processing Element" (PPE) and eight Synergistic Processing Elements (SPEs). [94] The eighth SPE is disabled to improve chip yields.[95][96] Only six of the seven SPEs are accessible to developers as the seventh SPE is reserved by the OS.[96] "
OK GREAT, I have been in IT for over 10 years and still this tech info means nothing to me at all because in reality I dont really know what they are talking about except that is sounds like marketing more than anything, no im not hating on the PS3 or going to tell you a 360 is better since they do the same thing but come on you cant honestly tell me you know what you are talking about except just repeating what you have been sold on. If you enjoy it great, end of.
To Poke, yes this wand thing looks like a new age vibrator and wait until you go into forms that are going to photoshop and make videos of this ps3 wand device. Either way Im with the guy that said I play games to chill out when Im not going out.
It does look like dildos or vibrator maybe sony is unconsciously introducing sex toys and life saber will turn out to be flesh light saber. wakekekekeke
They need to lose the ultra cool glowing orb though, that's a deal breaker there.
