dang, i had a transformers toy named snapdragon.... it was fun until its head decided to go MIA..... :(
Damn that phone is sexy.
I wish they had put a 1Ghz processor in the iPhone 3GS.. that would have a huge edge over the competition for consumer smartphones and half-smartphones/slightly-less-dumbphones.
will the currently released version work in the US?
yes, but you won't have 3g data. also, you'd have to find some way to unlock it, unless you're willing to roam.
Not bad.. not bad at all. The specs are in line but this of course needs a custom ROM with 6.5 on it to make with think about leaving the Touch Pro (consequently, with a custom ROM and 6.5). That's what annoys me about WinMo devices. The stock ROMs are often quite crap. Really no other way to put that. Since I went 6.5, everything is faster, more stable, and flick friendly thanks to the updated UI. It's a shame 6.5 gets such bad press, it really is good!
That said.. this particular device has a few design flaws. One.. the talk/end buttons look downright difficult to press. Two, I could had gone with a little less bezel around the screen but that's nitpicking. Three, no headphone jack from the looks of it, but hey I give HTC just as much shit about that so I know I could learn to live with it.
Even with all that.. very interesting indeed.
Is this thing an old iPhone prototype?

Why the hell can't HTC make a slim unit like this with a big screen, fast processor and a good BT to boot? I hate the crappy bricks Sprint keeps buying from HTC.
Drool!!!
"...a bit of Rothko misdirection..."
clever clever Mr. Ricker
Ultimately this 1GHZ ARM11 is likely slower than the 600MHz ARM A8 Cortex in the Palm Pre, iPhone GS and Omnia 8910.
Based on what presumptions?
cool
