Keepin' it real fake, part CCXXVII: Rolex watchphone is, in fact, neither

The Rolex watchphone is neither a Rolex nor a watchphone -- unless your definition includes handsets with a watch face embedded on the outside (and ours doesn't). But either way, it's probably safe to say that this bad boy does not sport a precision-made Swiss timepiece. Features include a 2.6-inch display, dual SIM, an FM radio, and presumably some sort of camera. Unlike the Swiss Rolex, the Shanzhai Rolex can be yours for the low, low price of 690 yuan (that's about $101). More mouth-watering KIRFness after the break.

Who cares if it's real, you can look like a baller regardless.
Grammar Delinquent @ Jul 20th 2009 4:08PM
the lack of bling and sheer fuglyness would say to the contrary
DanielT @ Jul 20th 2009 4:12PM
@ Grammar Delinquent
You mean to say that you're not going to duct tape that to your universal remote?
kjb434 @ Jul 20th 2009 4:12PM
Any baller looks fugly to begin with.
kumquat @ Jul 20th 2009 4:17PM
@Khav
Your avatar looks pretty baller.
jason @ Jul 20th 2009 4:32PM
Holding this would make you look more like the kinda guy who buys knockoff's thinking he looks like a "baller". Way tacky and obviously fake. If you had any true taste you would know that. Now run off and play with your knockoff gadgets while I go drive my Ferrari on the track and then relax at the country club while sipping on vintage wines before going to bed with my supermodel wife. *snort* lol
red @ Jul 20th 2009 11:59PM
I never understood how people could look like a baller if they had fake gear.

Seriously, that thing is all sorts of ugly no matter who makes it.
(And thanks Jared for making that oh so insightful post above.)

Hi, is that your cat? What's its name?
fireonthetrack @ Jul 20th 2009 4:09PM
Do even the citizens of asian countries bother to buy this crap?
IK @ Jul 20th 2009 4:18PM
they only make it to export it to Americans
they love this shit
Gonzo @ Jul 20th 2009 4:21PM
Yes they do, cause it makes them look cool. But they do not pay "American prices". They will pay about 1/10th the price.
DanielT @ Jul 20th 2009 4:20PM
Asians have good taste/taste good.
Rajesh Gandhi @ Jul 20th 2009 4:08PM

Monkey with glasses @ Jul 20th 2009 4:09PM
That's either a kids hand or some deform adult. Your pick.
cbgoding @ Jul 20th 2009 5:12PM
I was gonna say...reminds me of that other messed up hand model from a while back...I'm not gonna go look for it though.
Farris @ Jul 20th 2009 5:19PM
Idk, it kinda looks like my non-deformed, 21 year old hand.
Emu76 @ Jul 20th 2009 4:12PM
My definition includes handsets with a watch face embedded on the outside, what else would a "watchphone" be?
Spooka @ Jul 20th 2009 4:27PM
A watch what's got a phone in it.

KEROLiUKAS @ Jul 20th 2009 4:38PM
Lol, even on the back the knockoff is so bad, the GEARS aren't even touching...good art.
SilentMountain @ Jul 20th 2009 8:00PM
Nothing says "Classy" like a couple of mis-matched gears....
Loonie @ Jul 20th 2009 4:55PM
Wow, is that authentic wood effect plastic?
Gabe @ Jul 20th 2009 5:09PM
This wouldn't be so bad if they made it with aluminum, slimmed down the phone a little (too thick), put a real watch in the front, and removed the Rolex text.
Then again, if they did that, it wouldn't exactly be a shanzhai phone anymore.
SilentMountain @ Jul 20th 2009 7:46PM
Are there only two Western fonts in Asia? Geez, it's the same Serif or Sans Serif font every time!! I guess that's what they say about our Asian fonts here...
Michael Malczewski @ Jul 20th 2009 8:13PM
LOL I love how the hand is SMALLER than the phone hahhahhahahahah
clayts @ Jul 20th 2009 11:00PM
