The Shack, short on money for new signs, asks for your help

Like the rest of America, we've gotten some serious LOLs out of Radio Shack's current bid for relevance. But, as you know, rebranding comes at a price -- all those new signs excising the word "Radio" from the chain's storefronts aren't exactly cheap, you know. That said, we were equally amused and annoyed by today's email blast urging consumers to carry around little pieces of paper with the word "THE" printed on it. That way, you can obscure the offending noun whenever you find yourself within close proximity of one of these signs -- saving the company money on signage and increasing brand recognition in one bold move. Still unclear of the concept? Get yourself detailed instructions after the break, or hit up that read link to catch some rockin' videos on the company's Facebook page... and prepare to be underwhelmed.

Where is the sauce? i'm questioning this advertisement because i haven't seen it ANYWHERE. and i work for "the shack" so we get our noses rubbed in this crap before everyone else does. also it lacks the R circle logo which they are still putting on EVERYTHING. i'm calling fake on this one.
I work at Radioshack too, and maybe your store manager just isn't up to speed on this one but that image is extremely real. Haven't you wondered why the DMs have been recently trying to get us to get an email address from all the customers? It's because that email went out yesterday.
How do I know it went out yesterday? One of my friends bought the Acer 3G netbook when it first came out and now gets Radioshack spam mail. Guess what arrived in his inbox yesterday.... Come on.... you can figure it out.
"Radio Shack, you have questions? We've got geek losers." ...still makes me laugh
Anyone else notice that radioshack also bought the web domain TheShack.com?
If Radio Flyer sees no need to change their name, what exactly does RadioShack expect to gain when they become The Shack?
I just threw up.
I can see the execs in a meeting now- "Let's change our name, that will make us Millions"- and after that meeting they actually think about it and realize the costs associated- flyers/business cards/all signage instore and out/shirts- hello what kind of management team didn't think of all of the costs associated in the first place... Hmm I think I'll buy some stock in... NOT the shack.....
I work at RadioShack, and I find this more than just vaguely disappointing. What's worse is that they've actually made a little book they're handing out with the rest of their propaganda.
A book.
It has all of those catchy little phrases in it, with pictures. Hardcover, quite short, and low on words.
Shoot me.
Y'all have some crappy Shacks don't you? Not surprised, that happens when you hire people at minimum wage haha. I work at one and our customers love us, can't remember the last time I had an unhappy customer, our store offers top notch customer service imho, sure we may not know everything but we always work our hardest to find an answer for you. Btw, The Shack should up its internet speed, haha, just my opinion.
And this whole "The Shack" rebranding, Radioshack NEEDS it, genius in fact, I can't tell you how many people come in our store and tell us how much we've changed and grew (for the better). Most everyone thinks we just sell radios and resistors pretty much. These ads that they are throwing everywhere are already working, had a customer just today tell me she came in because the ad pretty much reminded her we are still here lol.
