I wish I didn't but I watch that video and the small part of me that is still able to care about things actually feels bad for Pleo... a robot... that looks like a dinosaur.

Pleo and Aibo can go to the same robo-retirement villa. Maybe we can get a kind of robot Golden Girls thing going? Asimo could get a recurring role being thrown out the door by Robie Sr.
I remember scrambling for one of those things near Christmas 07 for the now ex-GF kid. Ended up having to order on-line from Sharper image. Remember paying a ton of money and a small car load of extra cash to make sure I had it in time for Christmas.
I then remember it not showing up when it was supposed to. After an hour on the phone between Sharper Image and UPS I was able to meet a UPS guy in the next major city. I plotted out how long it would take for me to get to the city (about 30 minutes), he told me what area he should be in. I pull out the GPS to give him an exact time. We swap cell phone numbers and I head out. I meet him at one of his deliveries and sign for the troublesome toy.
The end result. The batteries seem to not last more then an hour. The kid changed his mind and didn't want it as much as he professed to when he saw it in the store. It gets sent back. Sharper Image goes out of business. The makers of Pleo goes out of business. The relationship with the GF goes South.
In the end. I don't care. I got my money back (minus shipping). Got my life and house back (by telling the GF to hit the road). And I always thought everything in Sharper Image was over priced junk anyway.
Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm humbled that you chose to reply to my post. Really, thank you. But what in the HELL, does this nice little story have to do with what I said? Way to get your inane and rambling story on page one of the comments, also, your wiener is small (your ex totally told me).
You know what. I believe both you and my ex.

With the released of the PDK we also have remote controlled Pleo's using an ordinary household remote, work is being done on enabling tracking via Pleo's camera, and Pleo can even twitter!
Pleo is not dead, he just evolved.
