Even more than in past years, the build-up to
Apple's iPod event this Wednesday has been nothing if not a bevy of
The Beatles / iTunes rumors -- the company even broke with its traditional Tuesday event date to have it instead on "09-09-09," the same day
The Beatles Rock Band and a new box set are due to hit store shelves. Now it looks like we've heard it from none other than Yoko Ono herself, who in a now-pulled Sky News article confirmed that the Fab Four's headed for digital distribution. All that's left of the piece is a Google cache of the first sentence, so for the full skinny, it looks like we'll have to wait until tomorrow.
Update: EMI is telling
Financial Times that, while conversations are still going on, no announcements will be made tomorrow.

"i am 23 going on 24"
Thanks, most of us didn't know what age comes after 23.
i think its coming tomorrow because itunes usually updates the new releases on tuesday but for some reason they didnt do it today
Exactly! I found it a bit odd that they opted to avoid updating the store today as well. We know that there is at least some good itunes news coming just by that fact. They usually update it on Tuesdays almost religiously! :)
I called this already in TUAW comments yesterday. It's the perfect timing - new Beatles remastered albums/sets just out (with Quicktime content) and nobody really expecting it. It may not happen right tomorrow, but I betcha soon.
Most of the recent iPod events have been held on Wednesdays NOT tuesdays!
um..I already have the Beatles...in my iTunes....and AC/DC
What did John lenon see in the B#*CH
Can anyone say "About Damn Time"..!!!
I just hope that their early LP's will be available..
