Zanily enough, nearly
three full years have passed since Razer first introduced what would eventually become one of its best-selling gaming mice, so it goes without saying that the aging
DeathAdder was due for an update. For those looking for a clean cut, straight-up gaming mouse to use between the hours of 10PM and 5:30AM, this revamped critter might just fit the bill. The biggest change is the inclusion of a 3.5G 3500dpi infrared sensor and a tangle-free braided cable, and fans of the existing design will greatly appreciate the fact that it's essentially the same (externally, of course). It's still not ambidextrous in nature (sorry, lefties), but you will find on-the-fly sensitivity adjustments, five independently programmable buttons and all the blue glow your retinas can handle. It should be available to order momentarily for $59.99 (US) / €59.99 (Europe).

Most lefties I know mouse with their right hands... with the exception of me. They think I'm some bizarre mutant for doing so.
I do everything with my left-hand except for writing and using the mouse. At least with writing, I believe was forced on me by my parents as a child.
After playing FPSs for so many years, I finally find out that most guns aren't meant for left-handers like me. : (
fap, fap, fap
Because you are a bizarre mutant. I'm also left handed, right-handed mouser. Just accept the world for what it is. Rather than distinguishing yourself by mousing left-handed, do some crazy sport.
i managed to convert my entire family to left handed mousing when i was younger by always having it on that side. of course i used the computer the most. they still use it left -handed to this day
I use it right handed and accept the fact I won't be close to as good as native right-handed mousers. Too much annoyance with the left side now that I'm used to the right side.
You are. as a full leftie its much easier and after a while natual to use the mouse on the right.
I'm a lefty and I play all computer games with my mouse in my left hand. I used to buy exclusively razer stuff since they made the best ambidextrous mice. Unfortunately, their best stuff is now in the righty only club. I'm feeling a bit left out. :(
I'm thinking about switching to Logitech stuff since they actually make a left handed mouse.
Just ordered 2 of the 3g's at woot.com for $20/ea.
lies
Seriously, just how much more accurate do you need it to be?
Are you playing playing Virtual Bomb-Diffusion?
Yes, yes I am.
What of it?
haha my Lachesis is 4000dpi
thank god.. i was having so much trouble pointing at individual pixels with my last model!
I'm too busy using my wireless mouse to care. Although I need a new one. =(
Razor,
Keep your lousy mice. Please give us a decent 5-button thumb ball. Or a right handed N52te with thumb ball instead of dpad.
Do not want.
My Razor's buttons are so craptastic after slightly over a year.
I contacted Razor, yeah, they'll exchange it for me if I have a receipt.
I'm kind of SOL, I bought it at Circuit City, so no chance of getting a new receipt. I think I'll just stick with Logitech though. I've never ever had a mouse's buttons go bad, even on dirt ass cheap mice.
Razer is spelled 6 times correctly on this page alone. Yet you still manage to fuck up. You are a fool and unworthy or Razers products.
Anyway, it's an easy fix. Just one or two screws on the bottom, slide it open and fix whatever went wrong. If you thought for yourself you could have saved us, Razer and Costco your whining and just fixed the damn thing.
You're like a woman crying that men don't put the toilet seat down.
I meant Razer. Whoops.
Never have liked Razers to be honest..
Always very fussy about what port, which driver version, blah blah...
Why would anyone want a mouse with a trio of sperm nuzzling on it?
EGADS!!! YOU'RE RIGHT!!!
agreed :S
I'm a Razer fan, and using a DiamondBack3G with a Goliathus mouse pad. Love the sensitivity and control and FPS / Photoshop etc.
the ONLY THING I HATE about RAZER: Their LOGO!!
Nice! I really like the Deathadder. One of the best pc mice I have ever used.
Ya know? If I do somehow manage to afford that m15x, I will be getting the Alienware TactX mouse, just because it'll match my lappy.
Not saying Razer makes crappy products, they're great! I just like my stuff to match (OCD).
Prime example: My dell 1520 (which has been problem after problem after problem, all warranty covered, but plays games okay) is Midnight Blue, so I naturally made sure to buy the matching Midnight Blue mouse. But I use a red Logitech MX518 mouse for games, which doesn't match, so I only use it for games. Also, I hate how my Wii is white, but all my other items in my setup are black (PS3, Directv reciever, TV, speakers).
I am OCD in all sorts of weird places. And I'm okay with it.
And I'm just guessing here, but I think the TactX mouse is basically a reskinned G9x mouse. I mean, the buttons are EXACTLY the same, it has a Hyperscroll wheel (named something different, but a typical Logitech feature also found in the G9x), same DPI, it's just shaped differently and has no extra grip. They both change colors, but the TactX syncs its colors with the m15x's.
gave you a positive since your OCD made me laugh. at least you admit it instead of trying to take other products down.
oops and i forgot...
http://www.colorwarepc.com/p-80-wii.aspx
It's a reskinned G9x (and the keyboard is just a Lycosa, methinks) but it costs more.
This mouse is epic. Been using it for 2 years now, must have dropped it about 20 times, works like a champ.
Maybe I'll get this to replace my ailing Habu.
Not a single reference to Black Adder...disappointing.
Why didn't they upgrade the copperhead as well? I'm right handed who has been 'trained' to use the mouse left-handed. My Dad used is a lefty. So, over the past 25 years of my life i've been stuck with finding ambidextrous mice. Aside from the logitech g5 (iirc) being the only right handed mouse I could stand on using on my left.... the copperhead has been perfect. Been using the same mouse for five years so far. No complaints at all.
I'm not replacing my old infrared 1800 dpi DeathAdder. The whole DPI wars is so stupid. If you have a sniping fetish, I guess you might want a high DPI mouse, but I don't care enough to fuck around with the DPI in the middle of a game, especially since the DeathAdder never had and still doesn't have dedicated DPI buttons.
Oh wait, now it does. I still don't care, but...yeah.
Am I the only one that absolutely hates the buttons on the thumb side?
I'm also left handed, but mouse with the right, and always had since 486 days.
Why in the hell is this a wired mouse? I *hate* that mouse cord. Once you go wireless how can you go back???
Best - Gaming - Mouse - Ever
This looks nearly identical to the Razer-Microsoft hybrid mouse, Habu. I've got one, and from the pics of the deathadder, they just swapped the glow-pipe around the outside for a glowing razer logo under the palm rest.
I might have to pick one of these up. I am currently using the coppperhead and its by far my favorite mouse ever.
the deathadder is a really good gaming mouse.. used mine for a long time
why can't they make a wireless mouse that doesn't cost a million dollars?
Im sexy
Someone at Razer is a big Golden Axe fan...
I gotta say though.....these mice have always been tough for me to use. Not to offend any left handers out there....I need a curved to the right mouse.
