ASUS Eee Top ET2002T and ET2203T touchscreen all-in-ones land in October
Looks like we've got ourselves another Windows 7 launch, folks. The Eee Top ET2002 and ET2203, which have graced these pages with their touchscreens before, have ironed out an all-too-familiar launch date (October 22nd) and some fairly competitive Europe prices, weighing in at £559 and £819, respectively. That's roughly $893 and $1,312 US, but usually the UK to US conversion on these is dramatically less than the true conversion rate (though we feel rather bad for the folks in the UK, in our own patronizing, American sort of way). Either way we're happy to see NVIDIA ION popping up again, and the whole concept of a low-end touchscreen PC is certainly intriguing with Windows 7 along for the ride.

Read link no workie!?
Low end hardware - perhaps?
But "low end" as in price... no, $900 is not low end.
Considering this is a $300 machine with a $100 monitor on the front of it and maybe another $50 touchcreen on top of it... the $900 seems a little steep.
I'll look again when it's on sale for $475 or less.
You do realize that ~$200 out of those $900 go straight to Microsoft, don't you?
Too bad ASUS started the trend of low cost linux based netbooks and now it no longer offers its products with linux as an option :(.
You think they are paying microsoft ~$200 a copy for windows on these boxes?
I bet it is more like $45 or $50.
Wall mountable please?
well if it's a touchscreen thing it should be built into the desk, with some way of lifting it back to a vertical position...
it got big ugly chin like MAC
As a UK consumer, being treated like an idiot and seeing stupid Dollar to Pound conversion rates on sites like this... I simply don't buy! Its my number one major 'put-off' when considering a new tech purchase.
'IF' I really want it or need it... then I get my buddy in the U.S. to post it over, even with import duty and postage, I still save hundreds doing it this way.
You also lose your warranty congratulations !
Don't get angry at conversion tables. It's your government, that's taxing the bejesus out of the imports.
multi or single touch?
If I were British, I'd buy it from America and pay the extra shipping...
Anyone know where one could find that wallpaper? It's pretty fantastic.
We don't mind your American smugness not when we get to read on Engadget how badly you guys get screwed over when it comes to mobile phones.
This thing is already on sale here. Its the same model right?

This is the current version without Win7. I think the article is referring to that.
All in one desktops are stupid. All the portability of a desktop combined with all the power of a laptop.
Pssh! Desktops are stupid. All the portability of a mainframe with only a fraction of its power.

I want to wall mount one of these in my kitchen
@bob e silly rabbit: Neither MAC Cosmetics nor Machine Address Codes have chins.
Yay! This is gonna be my new Home PC.
My laptop is almost dead and I wanted a pc where I could plug my PS3 in to.
This is it, and the ET2203T is a beauty...
DO.WANT
Also, my gf likes the fact it handles Win7 multi touch pretty well.
Wow, I just checked an online retailer and the prices are more like $581 for the ET2002; NOT $893.
If the 2203 comes in at $850, that is great.
Scratch that, it seems that the US models listed on Asus' website are non-touch screen only.....
Anyone care to wager how this system would compare with the MSI AE2010? The MSI system seems a bit more powerful (4GB RAM, Radeon 3200 128MB) and is even VESA-wallmount compatible (not an issue for me), and I actually like the look of it more than the Asus, but the Asus has the HDMI-input port which could prove to be very useful... hmm...
It looks like a very nice "descendant" of the ASUS Eee.
Specs are nothing spectacular, but kudos to ASUS for putting in an nVidia ION.
Windows 7 multitouch is this system's salvation. Otherwise it would just be some generic low end PC.
Full 1080p viewing on this system seems like a good move since there is little in ways of other amazing features.
An external Blu-Ray drive like mine - http://www.digistor.com/Digistor-External-Blu-ray-Burner-USB-2-0-Tray-Load - would be a good addition to the whole package.
All in all, not bad from ASUS.
