250GB PS3 Slim spotted at retail in dapper gray box

The new 250 PS3 Slim might be listed "in stock" on Amazon.co.uk, but it's not arriving until October 6th according to the online retailer. This particular model, however, is up for sale right this instant at some unnamed retail store in Europe -- even though it's hanging out behind a rather messy help desk in this particular shot. Either way, folks in Europe with a hankering for hard drive don't have long to wait!

hmm you can get a 320gb HDD for less than $100 and installing it int to ps3 is pretty easy as far as i know the 250gb version isn't better in any other ways so people should just get the 120gb and upgrade it and have a 120gb pocket drive

You can't take the HDD out without cracking open the case.

And yes, I too work for Gamestation in the UK and we've been selling these for a few days now, the box is basically the same except gray.

I still dont see why people went ape shit over the slim...who needed it slimmer you still arent supposed to put shit on top of it and its actually longer...so if your big was hanging off the shelf this is even worst.... the 1st ps3 was sexy it looked expensive this matte shit looks cheap. theu even depressable buttons for on/off and open.....WTF how. no card readers less usb ports....how can this possibly be more liked the original....damn people have no taste this days

I picked up a 250gb slim yesterday at Argos of all places. £285 with two free games and £20 of vouchers to spend too. There are better online deals but I wanted to buy it "in store" somewhere in case something goes wrong with it.

And yes, the box is silver/grey. Exciting stuff, box colours.
