I bought a Latitude XT, and while it cost me a chunk, 4 point multi touch capacitive screen and a stylus (N-trig digitizer) it was worth it.
I definitely hope to see more and more low cost options enter the market, as it will eventually drive the cost of the higher end hardware to a more consumer level.
Although I will admit it is cool when I'm walking around the office having people looking at me and asking me what that cool thing I'm holding is.. These things really are the best of both worlds.
