Ultimate HD pr0n machine
Ultimate *portable* HD pr0n machine
The real 'Ultimate HD pr0n machine' is a >9000in super-duper-HD TV.
Maybe the Ultimate HD Pr0n machine would be going out and getting some action yourselves
When you plug this in the whole neighborhood will go dark.
What, no Core i7?
Ditto. First thing I thought. However to get the 2.Ghz i7 extreme would be virtually impossible since I'm willing to bet that any of those chips are spoken for by the big boys like Dell, HP, etc.
Oh get off it, most programs can't even use quad-core processors, and those that do use quad-core's are very rarely optimized for it.
@sacapuntas, go DIE! First off, yea they do. Next, even if a program doesn't take advantage of 4 cores, you're multitasking capabilities will be increased, not to mention the JIZZifying turbo-boost and hyper-threading.
PS, take this as my poor mans copyright to the word "jizzify."
@John Doe.. Umm No big boss like Dell and Hp don't get exclusive rights to processors or any component unless they made it themselves
Core i7 at that price is a must.
@jrock
or they buy them all out for the next 6 months
Core i7 is just a name, what necessarily makes it better from a 3.0ghz quad core cpu.
the same way a core2solo at 1.6ghz is more powerful than an atom at 1.6ghz
"likely a rebranded Clevo M980NU" - It's definitely a rebranded M980NU. Almost all high-end gaming laptops that aren't from mainstream companies (Dell, Asus, Toshiba, etc) are rebranded Clevos, with the exception of Sager and MSI machines.
Actually, Asus is an ODM just like Clevo, they don't re-brand.
Us CRT users can read the white space just fine, for those of you on LCD the guy who posted in white was a spammer that was lowest ranked.
Selling something? Too bad most of us won't be able to see the link soon.
I'm digging the blue lighting. A bit more minimalist than Alienware rigs IMO. Nice job. And the whole thing is clean cut despite its robust size. Sounds like a great desktop replacement to me, if you're in that market. Sigh... three drive bays and twin GPUs... if only I could afford PC gaming monstrosities! Back to the consoles for me. Do want.
Such a fatty.
your mom
actually your mom ate my fatty
TWSS
(Thats what she said) I know kind of late and all
I don't have any legs and you reminded me of that fact by trying to sell me knock off Prada jeans!
I don't have any arms either! Just this damn typing wand. thank you for reminding me of this fact also.
Looks pretty good, touchpad could be bigger. Glad they ditched the Windows and Intel logos on the bottom of the keyboard. Is they really and HDMI sticker?
Yes, it's such a burden to remove a few stickers.
To beat a dead meme, yes it does play Crysis.
The one feature that would keep some people from buying the machine is, no light-up keyboard.... You have all these groovy lights.... why not light up the keyboard too? FAIL!!
Its just a rebranded Sager/Clevo.
come on guys, be positive! Its a powerful gaming laptop!
It can't be. It has a camera!
Is it me or is that a hell of a lot for a laptop?
18.4 inch screen?!
It's like when Dell came out with that "portable" 20" computer that weighed about 25 pounds. Just because you put a handle on in doesn't make it portable! Sorry for the random thought.
Also, this thing rapes most desktops today unless you're still throwing 4k for an alienware.
Holy fuck that thing is huge. Imagine lugging that around..
And for you immature kiddies, no that's not what she said.
With the size of that thing, why couldn't they have used those 12.5mm 1TB 2.5" drives?
And the battery lasts almost long enough for me to finish typi
Epyon didn't order the optional power plant.....
Thanks for the laugh. +1
seriously whats the point of building devices like this? it's already outdated before shipping date arrives...for that amount of money you can get a decent game rig which actually allows upgrading.. 2000$ is just too much for the non-upgrade-option...
Some people actually have to move around but also enjoy PC gaming. I'm tempted to pick up a decent laptop sometime soon: last time I tried to ship my gaming PC home the frigging HSF came loose and totally screwed the motherboard.
....a built in subwoofer though?
So Ugly.
So true. And this weighs what, 10 kg?
Wow! That's one hell of a notebook. Just turning it on should run your battery down immediately. Definitely worth the price just to take it out to impress people.
1920x1080 -> Knock it off, what a waste. I know thats a HD resolution, but the extra vertical space to get to 1920x1200 is really important.
Yes, I feel the same way too. Why do they keep doing this? If you use your laptop for more than just gaming, as in reading documents, or writing software, that extra 200 lines is like a few more lines of code. Can matter, especially if you use an IDE with a plethora of windows, or split screen modes in emacs.
How hot is this beast going to run! 3 HDD's 2GPUs and a powerful cpu, probably melt the mobo
These days Im skeptical of gaming on laptops. I had the BGA heat issue damage two machines in the past couple years. I guess they were poorly designed to begin w/ (Acer and HP) but I still wonder how these handle the huge thermal output.
I don't want to feed the trolls, but maybe someone can offer insight.
This laptop with it's monster setup is still A LOT cheaper than a 3000 USD MacBook Pro...
I love my mac but with this price differences it's getting harder to justify the inferior stats.
For that kind of money I'd expect it to have a backlite keyboard. Amazing how companies love to leave off that $5 item (production cost) which could put it over the top.
