Transparent Sony VAIO X amazingly captured on camera

We've already gotten a couple of up close looks at Sony's new thin-and-light VAIO X ourselves, but it seems that the company had a little something extra for its debut at a press event in China today: an amazing transparent edition of the laptop. Of course, the chances of it ever seeing a store shelf are even slimmer than its impossibly thin profile, but we're guessing this is the best glimpse most folks will get of the laptop's internals -- as anyone shelling out $1,300+ for one of these likely won't be able to bear prying it apart. Be sure to hit up the gallery below for a closer look courtesy of our pals at Engadget Chinese.

Ever since my Play It Loud! clear Gameboy, I've had a strange affection for clear electronics. I'd go with one if the option were available.
Perfect for prisons. In prison, any electronic (TV, Radio. etc.) that an inmate has, must be see through.
I bet this'd scare the crap out of the people at customs...
"Amazing Transparent Sony VAIO X captured on camera"
Ftfy. There was nothing amazing about the process of capturing the photo. The notebook isn't really that amazing either, but at least your title makes sense now.
Well, I guess we know what kind of SSD option they're using now don't we? I assume its one of those lower-performance mini-PCIe cards we can see in there...
For some reason, aren't clear laptops a bit late? i remember when you could get the clear phone covers and everyone would think you were cool, but a laptop? hmm i'm on the fence about this one.
Looks goofy. If Sony makes this available for consumer Joe to purchase I'm sure it won't be cheap. Sony likes to overprice everything they sell. I won't ever buy there products (at least not until they become affordable).
