LG intros ultrathin Win7-powered X-Note T380
We're still struggling to figure out why every PC maker in the universe has decided to debut at least one or two new Windows 7 machines today, but while we spin our wheels in frustration, we'll point you in the direction of LG's latest. The X-Note T380 is a 13.3-inch ultraportable powered by a Core 2 Duo SU3700 and featuring 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a GMA 4500MHD graphics set, 500GB of hard drive space, 802.11a/g/n WiFi and Win7 Home Premium. In related news, the outfit also updated its X-Note P510 to include Microsoft's newest, shiniest operating system, though otherwise it's remaining exactly the same. Price and release for the little guy has yet to be determined, but judging by just how stoked that lady appears, we'd say it'll be worth whatever LG decides to charge.

Looks nice, but GMA. Oh well, can't argue with the RAM and HDD.
If they'd only remove those awful intel graphics and slap an nVidia chip I'd buy one just like that.
Really, Intel needs to stop *trying* to make GPUs... or even worst... trying to make us buy them...
It can do 1080p and old/casual games. Most people don't need/want any more than that with a laptop like this.
Her face looks like it got hit by a bus.
This is not a cosmetically appealing notebook. I'm sick of all the shitty looking computers that all the companies keep coming out with. The only one that makes decent looking computers is Apple in my opinion. Just look at this laptop, there's a stupid strip running right down the back of it. But at least it's not glossy : /
Fanboi alert! Give the PC world and MSFT a moment in the sun why don't you...
So it NEEDS to be goof-looking to be featured in an article?
Fanboys are more stupid than I ever thought.
Hey, I just have good taste.
how is it possible that there are new computers coming out with DDR2 ram?
Dang, you guys are cold.... Have you seen a Sony ....? They look like macs..............................
I actually think the notebook looks nice.
Same old borin' specs just like many other 13 inches notebook. By 2010 all these crappy specs notebooks worth $349.99
Stopped reading at 'GMA.'
I for one refuse to buy anything that has Windows 7 installed until I'm sure we don't have another Vista in disguise. I want to see how it operates for everyday people in the real world, not just the geeks who always report that every MS product works great.
Well, I'm running it on my laptop (not RC1) and I have no problems with it what so ever. I don't consider myself a MS geek, because I have had my fair share of Windows complaints in the past. The difference is if you choose to complain or find a solution. My sister in law has problems with "Winders" all the time, and guess what. Every time, it end up being some she had done.
"OMG!!!1! It has keys, and a screen, and colors, and a touchpad, and white plastic! what an App1e rip-off!"
"Oh no, wait, HDMI, card reader and such a low price for these specs... nevermind."
Had to be said... before someone else posts saying it kinda looks like a mac...
The machine looks really nice tho, now we need a price and to know how long the battery lasts.

Uhhh, Engadget, perhaps because today is the long awaited launch of Windows 7? Exactly what is so frustrating about having companies trying to innovate and come out with new products?
I bet it wasn't frustrating to see Apple come out with 10 new products yesterday...
It was clearly sarcasm/comedy. Clearly. You're stating the obvious.
"We're still struggling to figure out why every PC maker in the universe has decided to debut at least one or two new Windows 7 machines today, but while we spin our wheels in frustration.."
I'm guessing because the PC ecosystem is horizontal (recall that's in part why MS has been successful, the industry used to be vertical silos), so when a platform is released (Windows 7) you may hear from the ecosystem as a whole (Hardware vendors, ISVs etc etc). So is it that much of a shock that PC makers that ship Windows machines might announce a product or two today?
If it drives you nuts, just don't report or gather them up and put together one post later on.
BTW, can you put together an post about the "Send to" demonstration where they streamed to 17 devices?
I'm guessing it's because the author was making a joke.
Every computer maker in the universe is launching new products today to get in on the money they know Windows 7 is going to rake in. Fortunately, that also means they are all fighting to innovate against each other and bring the best prices and system that will best make use of 7's new features. I'm kind of happy I waited to buy until this weekend. :)
CPU is SU7300
think im going to go with the asus ul30ax-5
Truly beautiful, 13.3 inch laptops are a perfect compromise between portability and usability in my experience.
If I see a cheap laptop and it's intel i look straightaway at the gpu, and it's more than likely to be rubbish.
I'd rather get a cheap AMD based laptop, at least it'll have an ATI gpu inside it.
yay
