At first glance, the still image looks like some sort of needlepoint project my grandmother would have taken 2 months to create... and which would have been more entertaining to watch.

It takes about that long for Windows 7 to boot on machines that were running XP. Nice video though.

So a group of 50+ people get together to celebrate the release of a product they've worked COUNTLESS hours for in the past few years and decide to do it with a nice nerdy domino salute and baloons, and all you lazy a$$ ppl reading engadget from your work cubicles spend your time harping on them.
At least the rest of the world, the one that MS DOMINATES in market share, appreciates a bit of sentimental nerdiness without being elitist cacks

I don't know about you AWB but my laptop that used to boot up XP with start up programs actually turns on faster with Win7 ! About 1-2 mins faster than XP

All joking aside, that was pretty cool. I felt bad when that one part didn't collapse though... It was still amazing.
Something keeps telling me that END'gadget really, really doesn't like Microsoft and is so far up apple's behind, that it hurts.
Enough of the damn negative articles you bunch of dks. Windows 7 is a fantastic product, deal with it. It's on six of my own machines and I don't have a problem with boot times. Maybe your technical expertise is to blame?
Did you read the macbook unibody review? they tore it up, just like any other review would have done. I think engadget is fairly equal. Now the commentors are an other story.

No, Endgadget (iGadget) is fair, and non-biased one way or the other - they just like to whine when anybody other than Apple does anything cool - which is pretty darn often.
If OS's were Star Trek franchises, Windows would be Captain Kirk, and OSx would be Picard - always talking, talking, talking, but not ever really doing anything. No sir - I'll take the OS that's not afraid to "take it outside" and have sex with any lifeform that can be catogorized as female (or at least that can't definitively be categorized as male).
As a Windows 7 supporter, I agree with Engadget. WOAAHHHhhh.hhh... erm... *yawn*
