Sony Ericsson Kurara suffers leakage, reveals HD label?

The percentage of returned gadgets that have nothing wrong with them.
Of the $13.8 billion worth of returned products in 2007, only 5 percent were because gadgets were actually broken, according to a 2008 study.

cool beans
Sounds virtually identical to the Samsung i8910 HD.
Yep, it looks like it mostly has the same functions. But hopefully it's running Symbian^2, that screenshot doesn't look anything like a standard S60 desktop. It might be just SE's custom GUI though.
I think it will have Symbian Open Source OS .
It's Sony Ericssons custom UI for S60, it's the same that's being used on the Satio (Idou).
The UI must be the timescape for symbian.
Too bad it's not android, the phone looks very nice!
I think it'd be the same (or similar) to the Satio which is running Symbian as well.
Yup, it should be the first SE phone to run Symbian Foundation.
Really looking forward to it.
All the people who say Symbian is dead are clueless muppets. It's still by far the most capable smartphone O/S, it just needs its API updated and to be fully optimised for touchscreens. The former will happen next year when Qt becomes its default API (something it will share with the next release of Maemo), and the latter is happening incrementally.
Sounds very nice. Knowing SE though, we won't actually see this until this time next year. I was bitten once waiting for the P990. Never again...
oh would you look at that...
the coke can has 25 mills more than the cans here in South Africa :(
I don't see why the Satio can't get 720p recording... it has the same processor as the Omnia HD iirc...
I expect .. on the basis of this that the Satio will get 720p recording sometime.
I like the Satio .. even if it is a bit of a fingerprint magnet.
Would be nice if the cameras were available to apps other than the main Camera app or video call (for the secondary)
featur phone.
next.
Clueless person.
Next.
"we sure do love our early glimpses of pre-release hardware"
Sure Sony won't dispoint you.
ah its S60? Alright...
I wish Sony phones were available on more carriers
Symbian again? :(
Does X10 have OLED and Multitouch? I am interested in X10 :D
nope... it dosen't even has 16 million colors
@Attracted Rhyme: You do realise that the human eye can't see 16 million colours right? The fact that you want it shows that you have been drawn in my marketing, just like you may have with mega pixels.
Muhammad, if you can't see the difference between 16 bit and 24 bit color, you obviously have an eye condition. Might be cataracts or something, I'd go see an optometrist some time next week. Or maybe you're just an idiot. Go ahead, try switching between them on you computer. Look at a color wheel or gradient and tell me you can't see a difference between the two settings. There is obvious banding with only 65K.
on the first pictures there was a HD symbol, but when i looked in the gallery pictures there were no HD logo. fishy?
"Boy, we sure do love our early glimpses of pre-release hardware, and today we have not one, but two sources of purported pictures of the Sony Ericsson Kurara. Touted as a sibling to the Satio, the Kurara is mooted to have a 3.5-inch AMOLED touch-sensitive screen, 8.1 megapixel camera and, wait for it, 720p video recording.
The image above seems to confirm this with a big "HD" inscription next to the camera lens, but that label is missing in the gallery below. We'll just put that inconsistency down to the extremely early samples on show, and start getting all frothed up in excitement over the possible UX inclusion on this Symbian S60 device when it starts selling in the first half of 2010."
HALF THE POST was about that.
Why cant verizon have this... sigh.
