Adobe may be a bit curt with its page to
Apple and its iPhone faithful, but try getting Flash from a webOS device, and the company's got a message of hope: Flash 10.1 is coming, just wait until the first half of 2010. We don't know how long this message has been up there, but as far as both we and
PreCentral can tell, it's fresh. It's certainly a date we haven't seen before -- last we heard a public beta was
coming the end of this year, which may or may not still be the plan if the above message is referring to a final, non-beta release. Now you current Pre / future Pixi owners have something else to look forward to besides
release 1.3.1.
Has Adobe figured out how to program for 64 bits yet?
Nope, and you'll be lucky to see anything in a x64 variant in CS5. At present, the only adobe software (that's mainstream anyway) that supports x64 natively is Photoshop CS4
mobile hulu!!
Flash Player 10.1 mobile beta is still on track for this year, as far as I know. Also, the beta notification page still says as much...
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs%5Fflashplayer10%5Fsignup
"Thank you for your interest in Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1. A beta release of Flash Player 10.1 for the Palm® Pre™ will be available later this year. If you would like to be notified when the beta is available, click the "Sign Up" button below."
I'm still waiting for Flash to come out for a 64bit system. I can't believe they haven't developed that yet. I do hate Flash though. Every computer I've run it on, it makes the CPU and RAM usage go through the roof. Flash really does blow. Silverlight FTW!
Give me symbian support or give me death!
we dont need got dammit. we need GPU POWER. But no signs of that...
Palm cares about the dumbest shit.
How about video recording capability that we all know the pre is capable of?
how about some voice activated action. Who cares about flash?
Well, all the Apple haters do, and Palm seems to be more interested in annoying Apple than improving the Pre (while Android is killing it).
Flash means Flash games. That's the biggest plus. Also finally means pretty much all of the web is available (including most videos, like Engadget's). With the sparse offerings in the Pre's catalog, Flash really is a great boon. There are tons of quality flash games out there and there are plenty I wouldn't mind on my mobile phone.
And having Flash doesn't mean Palm can't work on the other things.
Adobe is bringing Flash to the Pre. I don't understand how you would think Adobe bringing Flash to WebOS would interfere with any future updates from Palm.
hahahha YEah ..
