In Soviet Bulgaria, we don't have Cyber Mondays, but from what we've been told this is a pretty bargainous time of the year. HP starts us off with a pair of coupons on its
dv8 Core i7 notebook, one of which drops the 18.4-inch laptop to just $899. There are also deep 50 percent discounts on its printers, but only the Photosmart Premium All-in-One remains after the two cheaper models sold out. Click the Logic Buy link below to get in on the action. Amazon has the older Modern Warfare at $29.95 and Uncharted 2 at $40 flat for the PS3,
Garmin's nuvi 260W at a cent under $115 (or half price), and plenty of discounts on DVDs, gadgetry and even clothing. Best Buy keeps pace by offering the same price on the Garmin nav unit, as well as 10 percent discounts on Apple's iPod range. Walmart is kicking off a whole Cyber Week with a Sony Bravia 32-inch HDTV priced at $398 and a $249 Nintendo Wii Value Bundle, which includes
Wii Sports, sporting peripherals, and a choice of free game. If you're more interested in computer components, Newegg's $30 mail-in rebate on the
120GB OCZ Agility SSD will net you the drive for $289, our favorite of a plethora of deals at the online store. And finally, Dell is offering the Droid Eris for free when taking out a new Verizon Wireless account, which is at least
$30 cheaper than you can get it anywhere else. Time to get clicking!

omg thats reall good
i thought cyber monday was fake? apparently the sales are real.
@dystroglycan
Cybermonday is here to stay!
I am not sure how you ppl calling Droid Eris a 'free' product..which it is clearly not.. they are eating up the money on their monthly plan..
It's all relative...the interesting thing is the 100% subsidy, not how much you pay through the nose to get it.
Smartphones are now for SURE commodities.
Great for consumers, killers for manufacturers who can't afford it. Sure, CURRENT super-subsidies might not be coming from them but the NEXT wave MUST.
That's Modern Warfare 1, not 2. 2 is still the standard $60.
Although they do have Uncharted 2 for $40, which I jumped on.
@DBrim Thank you.
Good for the people who can actually get the discounts.
Nothing applies for us , the mortals from the far far soviet land of Bulgaria.
Поздрави на Владислав Савов от 8-градусова София !

@(Unverified)
Best Buy
I dont see the dv8t, only the dv6t.
check out the 2nd gen iPod Touch at Amazon.
The deals suck ass this year. And a lot of these deals aren't far off from prices we already saw earlier.
I bought my Zino HD last week for $100 LESS than the "cyber-monday" super special sale they have going on right now on it. *facepalm*
SHENANIGANS!
Maybe I'm behind here, but is ~300 for a 120gb SSD that good of a deal?
I thought they were cheaper than that by now. Damn. Guess not...
Either way, thanks as always Engadget.
@(Unverified) Well, he is not so far away from the truth :).
Yea, I have seen a lot better deals throughout the year.
@Maliberti
Well, when you get your time machine together, you just telegraph me. kthxbai.
Bought the dv8t for $899+tax, really good deal for an 18" i7 laptop with Blu-Ray and such,
Bulgaria was never part of the USSR, therefore your intro: " .. Soviet Bulgaria .." is misleading and wrong.
@dimm yeah, cause the endgadget staff never uses sarcasm...
@willowtwf
sarcasm: "witty language used to convey insults or scorn",
wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
1. there is nothing witty about the statement
2. the statement is wrong
3. the author of the post is Bulgarian, so to insult Bulgaria means to insult himself, unless since he is located in England he does not consider himself Bulgarian anymore.
4. there is no sarcasm in the post. Black Friday happens only in the USA, so Bulgaria or any other former Soviet satellite is no different from any other country.
@dimm Come on, there are still many "soviet" things in Bulgaria. There is nothing wrong with making jokes about that, after all, mr. Savov there spreads information about our country, which is a good thing. And I thing that Engadget is American and based in the US :).
@pavelgr
Soviet is a Russian word. it means "suvet" in Bulgarian and "council" in English. When used it references USSR, or anything USSR related.
Again, there is nothing Soviet about Bulgaria.
I believe that you mean socialist, not soviet. Either way you should not argue unless you know what you are talking about. Open a history book or a dictionary, before you make bold statements.
Btw, are you old enough to remember anything about socialist Bulgaria?
The authors profile states he is located in London, which is not in US.
@dimm If you read his bio, he never thought of himself as one.
@NoUltimatum
If that is the case, the first sentence should start with
"In Soviet Bulgaria, THEY don't have Cyber Mondays.." and since that will make the reference to Bulgaria completely random and unnecessary, it should actually state: "In US of A Cyber Monday is a pretty bargainous time of the year." Why mention Bulgaria at all ?
Off topic is "bargainous" an actual word?
@dimm @dimm Bargainous is most certainly not a word, but then I don't see
very many people complaining they didn't understand it.
As an Engadget reader, I enjoy references to my country. Poking fun
at its wonky history is called having a sense of humour about a
pretty miserable past. If you think my occasional blubbering about
Bulgaria will in any meaningful way affect its plight, then I shall
reform myself immediately. But frankly, your anally retentive,
humourless behaviour does our nation more of a disservice than my
throwaway remark.
@Vlad Savov
You are a Bulgarian if you have a Bulgarian citizenship. Are you a citizen of any other country?
You describe yourself as "technically Bulgarian", define being abroad as being 'out of England', you "Pok[e] fun" at your country,and categorize it as having "wonky history" and "miserable past".
If you have any other citizenship, please do us a favor and give up the Bulgarian one. Then there will be no need to describe yourself as "technically Bulgarian" and shame our country.
I assure you I do have a sense of humor, but I find ignorance sad, not funny.
As far as Bulgaria is concerned, we have an amazing past as a nation. Its future is what worries me, mostly because of the attitude of "Bulgarians" like you.
I'm not going to comment on your writing skills, but I'll give you a friendly advice: Do not write if you cannot handle constructive criticism and do not write with the thesaurus; try to make a valid meaningful points, not "blubbering".
@dimm He is mimicking the saying " in Soviet Russia" which is based off of an American stereotyping of Russians and therefore a play off of ignorance.
thanks for the heads up. I canceled my MUCH more expensive Dell Core 2 duo XPS purchase, and saved A FREAKING GRAND almost!
low blow about Bulgaria :
I had no idea Amazon's iPods were so cheap...they are new and sealed and 20-40 bucks off what they are at the apple store :D
I picked up L4D2 and a wired 360 controller (for game coding/testing on PC). Both for $68.xx shipped. Not a bad deal at all.
@pavelgr znachi vse oshte e komunizum? pshh
Bad post, so wheres the links to the HP dv8 coupons?
Where is the Verizon link to the Droid Eris in the "Read" list at the bottom..?
