Sure, an Android MID featuring some sort of contrived "net gen" functionality might promise inspirational moments, but will it get the job done? A company called Shenzhen Seed Industrial, located in the Chegongmiao Futian Distict (we hear it's lovely in the spring) is offering retailers and e-tailers a Windows XP-powered workhorse in the form of the HT560 5.6-inch UMPC/MID. Built on the VIA C7 (1GHz) processor, this guy sports 1GB RAM, 16GB SDD, two USB 2.0 ports, and both front and rear-facing 1.3 megapixel webcams. For connectivity, you get the usual assortment of WiFi and Bluetooth, with a GPS thrown in for good measure. It's about 1/3 wider than an iPhone ..but still fits in the pocket!

Two things I would change:
1. Make the surrounding frame/bezel thinner so it isn't unnecessarily wide.
2. Make the display longer so that it has a 16:9 or movie screen aspect ratio.

1. How would you hold it without blocking parts of the screen?
2. It already has a 1024x600 screen, which is fairly close to 16:9.

How do you hold the iPhone? The iPhone has a somewhat minimal bezel on the sides. The idea is to make it fit in the pocket easier while maximizing display surface. Having a bit extra bezel on the top may be ok. Though I have never seen anyone holding their iPhone like that.

it's still better than the iPhone OS as it runs everything that the iPhone OS doesn't let you do until you jailbreak it.
