HTC Bravo pictured more lucidly (Update: coming to US in January as HTC Passion)
We realize we might have overfed you a little with that plentiful leak of HTC's 2010 plans, so here's a chance to better ogle and digest HTC's "Performance" flagship to be: the Bravo. Pairing Android with Qualcomm's 1GHz Snapdragon and presenting a 3.7-inch AMOLED facade, this certainly ticks the headline boxes, and the addition of a five megapixel AF cam capable of 720p video capture gives it an extra sheen of 2010 newness. The picture above is accompanied by less solid info indicating a 1,400mAh battery, which will be joined by the mandatory WiFi, Bluetooth and MicroUSB connectivity, plus MicroSD expansion, FM radio tuner, digital compass, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Then again, the source is the same bunch of heroes responsible for our extra early -- and accurate -- info on the HD2, so those specs may be considered pretty reliable. Oh, if you're wondering about the touchscreen, it's capacitive, like it should be.
Update: If you were wondering about the difference between the Bravo and the recently leaked Passion, there is none other than the branding apparently. We're also hearing that the above handset will be available in the US in January, a cool three months ahead of the expected European release.

Yes Please!
@will62185
I complelely agree, if it has the same resolution as the droid.
Also, is that an optical mouse?
@(Unverified) Yes, that is an optical mouse.
Sorry Droid!
@will62185 "Yes Please!"
Q.F.T.
is this running the sense IU? It doesnt look the same at the home page on the HD2. regardless, this looks amazing.
@bluespirit WinMo Sense and Android Sense are two different skins, though they share the same "ideals." That's how HTC puts it anyway.
@bluespirit Thats because the HD2 runs windows mobile
@Ryan Trevisol
This one looks different from the HTC road map one, the Htc roadmap center button looks like its glowin red
@will62185 I just returned my droid eris today at the verizon store. Loved it but want to get a faster phone with a larger screen. On the receipt it all phones purchased between November 15th and December 14th can be returned or exchanged through January 13, 2010. Another Bravod POV:

HTC is taking over.
@EYC
co-sign
@EYC Not with their phone cameras.
@EYC
'Cuz we takin' over...one cell phone at a time
@EYC
Yep, it's the new Samsung.
@YpoCaramel
Agreed
Their phone software in their cameras is so fucking slow and buggy....
@vito huh? since when did samsung ever take over?
@NikAmi
Cause we're taking over you, and you, and you, and We, are HTC.
@googleadam lol at ur last comment ... we are ... HTC!! haha
@NikAmi now all they need is fatjoe and akon to endorse this and we r set
I think the HD2 looks better with its chunky charm, but there's no room to nitpick with an Android device packing AMOLED and Snapdragon.
@YpoCaramel
If this had the HD2's design, but these specs it would kill all.
Still this may be my next phone.
@YpoCaramel
Looks like a big fat slob..... but want it anyway
@(Unverified)
Big girls need love too...shooo. I'd hit that..
@Muddy
Yes; I love the HD2 look. Looking forward to the HD@ hitting the US.
@YpoCaramel Ye I like the sharp look of the HD2 better then this curvy beast =S
Awesome! When will AT&T get an Android phone?
@Eminemdrdre00
When Apple tells them too! ooooh
@Eminemdrdre00 i asked a guy at AT&T when they would get some Android phones and he didn't know what i was talking about so he asked someone else who said early 2010. i don't know if i believe him or not.
@Eminemdrdre00
They're supposed to get an HTC Hero soon, from what I here.
That phone has been whored out soooo bad.
@Eminemdrdre00 When they actually fix their shitty service.
@Eminemdrdre00 I'm eager to see a device like this on the AT&T network. As a longtime AT&T customer, my entire family is "embroiled" in contracts of various lengths that would make switching carriers difficult. Although coverage is patchy in my area, a combination of a decent phone like this one, and access to their Microcell, would make me a happy man.
@Eminemdrdre00 I'm starting to think it's not worth waiting for anymore. This looks like another TMo bound device. If this guy hits before ATT even announces something, I will be ending my relationship with ATT for awhile. The ONLY problem is my company doesnt have a corporate account with TMo so no fancy discounts. :-( Anyone have a nice friends and family link they want to share lol. Sprint is the only other realistic alternative for me.
@helfrez
Sprint has confirmed multiple times that there are 3G/4G handsets coming in 2010. If you're not happy with Sprint's current offerings it would really benefit you to see what's coming next year.
@Eminemdrdre00
good question!!!
@Eminemdrdre00
never. they didnt sign on to android. att sucks!
@Eminemdrdre00 thankfully probably not in a long time, this phone is probably headed towards the tmobile network seeing that all rumors of the passion in the past month have said so and tmobile is the largest provider of android phones. Now that it is i guess "offiicially" annouced, it makes it a pretty much definite
@naniekso
I don't know what rumors you are talking about other than the leak that said it might come to Tmobile UK. All the other rumors have stated Verizon and thats how its been for a long time.
@Eminemdrdre00 -- I'm guessing the minute they lose iPhone exclusivity...
i'd buy that bitch so hard
wonder how much of htc 2010 roadmap will go N. America
@osnala i'd guess more than usual given the momentum android is gaining here.
@osnala Prolly stocked with tons of phones and support for NAmerica, I mean look how much money there spending on advertising right now, "Find a phone that gets you and billboards too.
@osnala
A decent amount considering they started airing commercials.. why waste such an investment and not roll out phones like that here? Sexy sells... and HTC's phones seem to be nothing but.
Do Want! hope it doesnt take forever to come out, now would be good
I'm going to venture a guess and say that this is Sprint's version of the HTC Passion.
@Kyle P
I lied.
@Kyle P
It's not? Is Sprint getting a version of this?
@ZeRoCo0L It has been rumored that Verizon will get the HTC Passion, which has exactly the same specs as this phone, but looks slightly different.
My guess is that all four major carriers will get some variant of the Bravo/Passion. Aside from the G1, HTC generally releases their phones on all as many carriers as possible (e.g. the HTC Snap/Ozone/Dash, the Hero/Eris, the Touch Pro 2, etc).
@Kyle P
Ah cool thanks for the info
@Kyle P That would be unfortunate if it was, since it has a GSM radio.
