I am unimpressed by this and all these other so called hybrids these car companies still sucking the teet of middle east oil countries, We want cars that are not dependent on some forun countries economic revenue. thats the change I hope for screw these mini motor battery powered cars. You want to see revolution in america have the government sponsor a new mode of transportation with all the support they threw into making the atom bomb.
I am very impressed with those acceleration numbers, and by extension, the admittedly magnificent beast that produced them. Mostly because I've always wanted to drive something grossly overpowered... something that would test my cardiac fitness just through shear G-forces. But hey, maybe that's just me.
@kdmc1 The market will develop alternative tech, just like it's been doing. Did the first Insights and Priuses come from government grants? The initial drive towards fuel efficiency during the oil crisis a few years back? What drove those changes? Right - the market.
