Fujitsu LifeBook UH900 spotted in the wild, courtesy of shouting speech bubbles

There could only be two reasons for why we got a bit excited upon the discovery of this Asia Pacific-only, $1,415 Fujitsu UH900 in Hong Kong: one was the sugar rush from two custard tarts earlier in the day, and two was the speech bubble overload on this smartbook laptop thing. We quickly sobered up when we heard about the two-hour battery life -- more pessimistic than Fujitsu's own press release, which promises three hours in ECO mode. While there was no hands-on opportunity to try out the multitouch screen -- a self-proclaimed world's first on this form factor -- we weren't impressed by the overall glossiness and the dull side bezel, but kudos to the guy who managed to keep a straight face while revealing the petite battery life.

FUJITSU IS MADE IN JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!
@Spensar
Yes... Fujitsu Laptop are all made in Japan (not China)... hence usually they cost more than other brand but has better built quality...
@wowpeter You can't be any more wrong -- their budget series (e.g. L series) are definitely labelled as "Made in China". Not that this makes much difference at this day and age.
@Spensar i was shocked too! lol
Two hour battery life? huh? the only feature that could make me buy a laptop with a two hour battery life is if it gave out awesome blow jobs.
@Rob Conway
Ask the salesperson for a free USB vacuum with the purchase.
Not "made in china" WOW and all so shiny I guess it is going to look bad when you touch it cos of the fingerprints.
Modern people make sure they have no fingerprints.
@Wwhat So they cut the fingers off?
@pankomputerek
Whatever it tales
Isn't Fujitsu laptops are Made in Japan?
(At least I read that from catalogs)
Hey Rob, 3 hours for mediocre blow jobs?
Its called the Fujitsu Uno because uno is the hours of battery life you'll get outta this sucker.
Chunky.
HK$11K? i could buy a HP Touchsmart & still save.
@xy Or move up to a ThinkPad R,T,or even X-series.
Two hour battery life at that price? That's _almost_ as offensive as my MBP!!
Its like an overpriced VAIO P. Wait.....thats possible?!?!?!
Is it just me or are Fujitsu laptops bland, overpriced, and underspecced? I was just shopping on their website and most of their laptops can't even run a 24" monitor at full resolution.
My Dell Latitude D620 from 2006 can. Wtf is up with that?
No thanks.
Well it does switch itself off after 2 hours to spare you embarrassment.
@Atkins
I get what you are saying but if you stuck a 133mhz Pentium 1 into a super lightweight aluminum construction body it would still be a POS.
Again, their laptops can't do something that a "lightweight" business laptop from 2006 can do. It's 2009, I shouldn't have to settle for less performance than was available in 2006 on a $1100 laptop. 3 years ago is like 90 in computer years for Christ sake.
It's a SEVERE oversight and shortcoming on most of their lineup. If I wanted lightweight, expensive, well-built, and underperformance I would buy a Macbook because they look better.
