LG's X300 ad strikes an amazingly familar tone
LG's X300 laptop may have largely avoided comparisons to a certain other thin-and-light when it was announced at CES earlier this month, but it looks like LG is intent on driving that point home regardless. As you can see for yourself in the promo video after the break, not only has LG carried on the oft-imitated manila envelope motif, but it tops things off with a just slightly off "la la la" refrain for good measure. All of which might have earned LG a few points for boldness if this were a parody ad released a few years ago but, sadly, this is 2010, and this ad is all too real.

I get the parody. OUCH Apple, looks like LG dislikes your below average company anyhows. It's virtually the all mighty American DOLLAR that is propping up the pathetic company that is APPLE.INC
@FlasH Which part is below average? Is it the quality of product? No. Computer Shopper says that the best laptop to run windows on is a MacBook Pro... Is it the software, No. OSX is a stable, perfectly competent and customizable OS that costs 1/10 that of Windows. Maybe its customer satisfaction. Oh wait, Consumer Reports says that Apple has a 96% positive customer satisfaction rating.
I'd like to see LG's laptop customer satisfaction score. Is there one?
Oh, aren't PARODIES supposed to be funny?
And the "American DOLLAR" (as you put it) also props up Microsoft, Google, Bing, Linux, iPhones, Android phones, grocery stores, whore houses, pet stores, skydiving lessons, and pretty much any other American business. The money is the "business" part.
thats really thin
i hate copy cats
I think it's just sad that it's taken them this long to build a lappy that can fit in a manila envelope. And now their boasting about it?
LG: Hey! I made it to the party!
Everyone else: Yeah... but you are two years late... soooooo..... no, you didn't.
The Sinclair ZX Spectrum had a Chiclet keyboard in 1982, so I don think Sony invented this.
Suck it, Apple.
