Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10 emerges on Taiwanese pre-order page
It was only yesterday that we heard of this WinMo 6.5.3 beastie, and already Taiwanese ladies and gents can sign up to own one, pending a February 6 delivery. The new pre-order page confirms our earlier indications of a 3.5-inch WVGA display and 5 megapixel camera, while adding the knowledge of 512MB of both RAM and ROM, plus MicroSD storage expandability. A relatively low end Qualcomm MSM 7227 600MHz CPU drives the show here, and we're told a spare battery (1,500mAh by default) or a car holder for navigation also come as part of the 13,900 TWD ($435) package. So, are you excited or what?

Nice hand set
I can dig it. Will be obsolete very soon being a WinMo 6.5.x device however.
it looks very... phone-esque
that just about sums it up in my opinion.
I'm calling it, "ifone keelr"
Hi iPhone clone #2124
I'm feeling a slight KIRF vibe with this.
Forgetting other mobile operating system manufacturers for a second and concentrating on Windows Mobile. When will we get to the point that Microsoft starts saying Designed for Windows Mobile 6.5 and Windows Mobile 7 ready. As a consumer I can handle not having the fastest mobile processor in my handheld device but I get this gut wrenching knowing that if I get something now, it is not necessarily going to have an upgrade to the new mobile OS. In the desktop market I think this is one of the things that has made Windows so attractive - again just talking about Microsoft software here.
Well, it looks a lot like Samsung Star.
I think that Nokia, Google and Co were much faster in ntegrating GPS than Garmin was to produce a handset. Don't think this has a great future.
Ovi maps is good, Ovi maps is free, Ovi maps needs no data connectivity.
Nokia is huge in Asia especially.
I really want to know what Garmin-Asus' strategy is going to be if they hope to make a profit on this thing.
Out of 10 comments 2 are about Nokia Maps.
@immortal clone If Garmin doesn't get its acts together and bring free life time map updates, Ovi Maps will make them obsolete.
That's actually a very good price for an unlocked phone. I just wish ASUS would ditch Garmin though, that has to drive up the price a bit. They could still have a partnership, but do they really need to cobrand?
