Lenovo introduces AMD-based IdeaPad G455A for China
Lenovo already roll out a few AMD-based ThinkPads earlier this month, and it's now also expanded things to its IdeaPad line with its new G455A model, which looks to be exclusive to China for now. Sliding in right above Lenovo's netbook offerings, this one packs a 14-inch, 1,366 x 768 display, along with a 2.1GHz AMD Athlon II M320 processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4550 graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and Windows 7 for an OS -- among other standard fare -- all for a price tag of 3,999 yuan, or just under $600. Still no indication of a release over here, but this one looks to be available in China right now.

Engadget, Source please?
NICE SPECS I WOULD BUY ONE AND UPGRADE THE RAM TO 4GB AND BUY A HIGH-ASS CAPACITY BATTERY AND VOILA
@WhatHappened you're hurting my ears. stop yelling please.
@tylersmyler Don't yell at him. His caps lock key is broken :)
pretty good specs for price. i agree with the ram being too low, but 600 for a non-netbook with non-intel graphics is nice.
sure looks fake to me
Heh, I was browsing with images turned off (at work) and when I've read IdeaPad, it immediately reminded me of iPad and I shook in horror for a moment.
Phew, what a relief!
Lenovo introduces the best Ideapad yet and it's China only? =\
China? So it has internet censoring hardware built in?
crap screen, but otherwise laptop specs for a netbook price is nice.
I really wish there were more companies willing to push AMD's mobile processor range, I mean they aren't the fastest but they always have the price/performance going for them.
Maybe I'm just an underdog supporter. :D
@Tristan
AMD notebooks always have bad battery life, but they do have great performance for the price, and unrivaled graphics performance for the price. I suppose if you're always going to have access to a wall outlet and you want a budget gaming laptop, AMD is the way to go.

"I mean they aren't the fastest but they always have the price/performance going for them."
LOL WUT? That is only true with desktops not laptops.
