@agentlotek I think you guys will be waiting a while. It took this long for Moto to get the update to a phone running vanilla Android so the update doesn't have to be configured (much) to work with the device. In the case of the Hero/Eris, the update has to be made to work with Sense so you have to give HTC more time to do that.
@agentlotek Verizon refers to both the Moto Droid and Droid Eris as "Droid" so the news on facebook saying "Droid gets 2.1" (I don't think they said Moto) could be refering to an OTA update for both.
@Steve B Except HTC has had the SDK for 2.1 for a while now and they've been writing Sense into it. It's ready to be pushed out. They just don't want to cause they're busy giving all the Nexus one owners all the love.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
WTF didn't Verizon say Moto Droid & Droid Eris is supposed to receive this update at the same time? Where is our new of an update???
Sincerly,
A very jealous Eris owner...
P.S. Who Dat!
