Motorola Devour launching somewhere on February 25th, everywhere on March 15th
Eager to get your mitts on the first Motoblur-enabled phone to land on Verizon? Sorry bronco, it ain't happening today. Or tomorrow. Or next week. According to the leaked flyer above, however, the impatient among us should be able to secure a Devour on the 25th of this month. After it filters out through those "indirect channels," the phone will make its way into all VZW channels on March 15th, though it's still anyone's guess as to a price. Speaking of guesses -- got any insight you'd like to share in comments?

Am I the only one that thinks this phone is just flat out ugly?
@Steven
no, it's just that most people disagree with you. DOWNRANKED!
@Steven
Yea, you are.
@Steven
I think its ugly too, it looks relatively dated.
@Steven
It probably looks better in person like the G1.
@glenskey
Looks like the tables have turned, my friend.
Anyways, the advantage is price, the android platform at a low price is a good way to get the average consumer people to get introduced to Android.
@Steven I agree phone is UGLY!!!
@Steven YES I agree! This is just unbelievably ugly. AAAAGH my eyes! Where's Megan Fox? Oh, there she is. OH NO! She has one of these in her hand! Blargh.
The specs aren't even exciting.
@Steven
No you seem to be within the majority's opinion, just like me
It looks cheap and plastic-y (at least if it was black but then noooo it would look to much like the DROID!) Although I must admit the keyboard is nice even if they totally copied it from Macbooks (black keys on whitish grey background)
This Supply Chain nerd thinks that "indirect channel" probably means third-party phone retailers... So no buying direct from VZW until March 15.
Wish they woulda gave the Moto Droid this keyboard.
I don't understand how anyone can want this phone. It makes me want to retch. Then take the bile, and use it to construct a phone. A prettier phone than this one.
The megan fox phone!

@Echuu
this is what it means, "devour me baby!"
I would trade in my Eris for this if this came in a nice charcoal color, and I was able to get full, and I mean full use of Sense UI.
I actually like the style of the phone, but hate the specs
yeaa... i have one insight...i mean...literally insight....i am not going to buy this phone :D
Does it come with Megan Fox in a tub?
So, purely speculation time...
Verizon seems to like to launch multiple device at the same time, when they can: Droid + Droid Eris. We've seen the new HTC Legend in the wild. Anyone think maybe they'll be a same day / close to same time release? Just bought an Eris, but the Devour and Legend both interest me as I'm a VZW customer.
Is this the DROID for chicks?
is this android phone?
It's not just the aesthetic looks of this thing that bothers me, it's more the not-so-ergonomic shape of it that I dislike. It does not look like a phone I'd want to put in my pocket.
Why the hell is it so damn hard for Android phone makers to design a nice phone? You can get a "free" dumbphone that both looks better, and has a better keyboard than pretty much every Android phone out there. The N1 and Eris had potential, but no keyboard. The Cliq was almost there, but that keyboard is a waste, and don't even get me started on the Droid.
@Hazdaz
umm have you seen the nexus one? If you call that an ugly phone the you have some serious issues. It's almost as if Jesus himself created it. And you don't need a keyboard for everything. I think the virtual keyboard on Android is the best out there.
Sweet, an Android phone with 3-year-old hardware specs! Oh wait, that statement was redundant.
Wow. Truly ugly! Like the droid, I bet this looks even worse in person. Moto seems to be taking the 'hummer of smartphones' concept a little too seriously.
Man, gimme a phone with the Droid's specs and the Devour's input methods (Keyboard layout and external optical trackpad) and I would buy it.
Man Verizon keeps getting all the love from MOTO. I JUST FEEL LIKE CANCELING MY CONTRACT TO GO TO VERIZON EVEN THOUGH I LIKE MY SIGNAL SERVICE WITH AT&T.
Best Buy Mobile is doing a presale on this phone like they did on the Droid by Moto.
