Motorola Devour in the wild once again
We've already seen the Motorola Devour in the wild once, but with the official Verizon launch right around the corner and pre-sales underway, it looks like at least one more unit has made it out into the world. Great -- but we'd like a video of this thing and its mid-range processor running Flash, please.

TO SMALL !!!
This thing will get lost on the "but me" shelf
@ChillyCat
No it isnt...had one drop on me earlier today...literally from the second floor of Columbia mall. The verizon kiosk there had just received it. Suffice to say, they are now out of stock.
@ChillyCat
THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID.
:) @rdearth53 :)
" buy me shelf "
@ChillyCat Mega Fox would say that.
"buy me" shelf that is
I'm sorry, but this is one ugly phone.
Way too much silver / plastic around the screen.
@Cwill127
I don't even care that much about the color - it's the god awful blocky-ness of it that bugs me. I don't want to put that thing in my pocket.
@Cwill127 It's not all bad...the new Verizon logo is pretty awesome.
@NikAmi i LOLd
Who is going to buy this piece of crap? $150 for this vs $200 for the Droid.
@Peter F its going to be $100. You can see that on PhoneArena from another Best Buy screen shot.
@acquaz10 http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/18/motorola-devour-to-sell-for-150-at-best-buy/
@Dogcowsaysmoof http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/Best-Buy-now-dropping-the-price-for-the-Motorola-DEVOUR-to-99.99-article-a_9716.html
But will it run windows phone 7 series?
@broli Its an Android phone... Why would it run windows phone 7 series?
Motorola... What could you have been thinking with that design? Obviously not the same design team as the motoroi and droid...
I can see why they needed Megan Fox in their SuperBowl advert...
And the award for the most KIRF looking device from the actual manufacturer goes to..
@VTR That's what happens when you you should have been dead 5 years ago.
For everyone saying it's an ugly phone...I don't see it. I think aesthetically it looks great, it's the price that gets me. 150 bucks for mid-level phone like this is crazy. Seriously, how is it ugly? And I swear to god if anyone says "it's the bezel" I'll pop you right in the mouth.
@Prevacator It's the bezel.
@scots79
*Pop*
@Prevacator
you got a little bezel on your face.
@Prevacator Its the bezel
@Prevacator It's the silver colour, the blockyness and yes, the bezel. The screen just looks so small among all that designer vomit.
Motorola missed the mark with this one. This is not a attractive phone.
What an ugly phone. Damn.
Also, I realized when I got here to post my ugly phone post that everyone else had already posted that very thing.
Not a fan of that silver finish. Would look better in a graphite/black colour.
If a Sidekick had sex with a KIRF Android slider, then aborted it, this is what you'd get.
That's an attractive device; I like the retro-futuristic design, like something out of a Kubrick movie. Motorola seems to be back on track lately, too bad I'm on T-Mobile and refuse to buy a CLIQ.
@sumgoodman -- I'm in same boat, and looking forward to the Motoroi (hoping it's good stuff)
(and that it actually comes to T-Mobes, as rumored, in the 1st place)
This is a beautiful phone, just the small screen ruins the look.
Looks very similar to the sidekick slide which was also made by motorola.
Looks like crap....will be waiting on the HD2
looks like motorola going after the sidekick crowd. if i didn't have a droid, i'd probably get this since i only use facebook.
Hmm.. Pretty woman (Megan Fox) promotes ugly phone (Motorola Devour)...
I think it looks fine, but lowend/midrange smartphones on Verizon make no sense at all.
You're paying about 3000 bucks, if you want to be economical go with TMobile. An extra $50 for amuch better phone when your paying $3000 makes no sense.
@iCello agreed!
I don't mind taking the Devour. I'm just sick of AT&T not getting all the good Motorola phones, all AT&T phones are built cheap and ugly looking. I would love to have that phone.
ugly phone. But if it runs android smoothly and not have many issues, it might draw some crowd. The look is not for me though :( already have nexus one and compare to HTC desire, legend, and supersonic that is to come, this phone's design is a FAIL.
Looks like the picture is with an ugly foot. Reall not the best pic
Snore. Motorola, how about something desirable, like a Droid 2? Give me Snapdragon, Super OLED and a good keyboard...and I'll buy ten.
These phone going to get Devour by other top brand. But if the cost is rock bottom than I guess it's a win win for everyone.
still ugly
I was chatting it up with the verizon person at Staples yesterday to kill some time and she was showing me the Motorola Devour that they had given her.
you can't accurately judge a phone's appearance until you've seen it in person. the droid proved that.
I think Blur is what is going to cell this phone to the masses of teenage/sidekick users. I am happy Droid user, but I know several people who love being completely engulfed in Facebook who'd take this phone before the Droid.
