Archos announces new line of internet tablets for summer 2010
You thought that the Archos gang were goin' wild with the svelte 7 Home Tablet (and its self-conscious digiframe-esque sibling), but believe us -- the Android funfest is far from over. According to the company, this summer will see the range expand significantly, with new models featuring ARM Cortex processors (up to 1GHz) and "a richer set of features with screen sizes from 3- to 10-inches." One thing that we probably won't be seeing "any time soon," at least according to the kind man we cornered at the Archos booth at CeBIT? An Archos phone. But that's OK -- we don't even know how we'd find time to talk on the phone with all those tomatoes we have to slice.

Pretty sure he's slicing a pepper!
Hehe, yeah, someone here's gotta learn how to cook. (*points at Joseph) ;)
@microlomaniac you say tomato, I say...
oh, never mind.
@flashman007
I love how much attention is being paid to the peppers and whether they're being diced or sliced (although there appears to be an odd combination of both).
Anywho, is RIGHT NEXT TO THE SINK the best place to put an internet tablet or any other electronic device, for that matter. It appears as though they care more about the peppers, too.
@derX I don't know why, but it really bothers me that he left the seeds and core junk in the pepper. That is going to be a nasty mess. This is what happens when you try to tablet and cook simultaneously.
@Ksult1
It'll be fine. All perfectly edible actually. The bell pepper is just a particularly not-hot member of the capsicum family where seeds are often left or removed to control heat.
Some people say you actually get the slightest bit of somewhat something like heat-ishness if you leave the seeds in bell peppers.
all I can see the the BEZEL.
@xcomme
Seriously, so much freakin' bezel on all the devices being displayed lately.
@Plazmic Flame
You cant got straight for the thin ones first, you've got to work your way up.
@xcomme: The guy who can cook and has a big bezel on his gadget, gets all the girls. :)
@xcomme
Hey this could start a whole new trend - how about the Apple iBezel? Just pure unadulterated Bezel. Apple fans would go nuts for it ;)
@xcomme It is a lot of bezel. I don't think its meant to be a "hand's on" tablet. I think its meant to be used more like a smart photoframe chumbyesque type thing. The other one is for lying back on the couch or bed and doing whatever . . .
@dansus
Ha ha ha! I just choked on my lunch'
Those are some really ugly devices and the software on them looks terrible. I just don't get what people see in Android devices.

Embedded GPS, and 500GB of po.. movies?
@tdogdfw So you judge an OS by how pretty it looks? With that theory, Vista improved upon XP tenfold.
@scots79 As a matter of fact, I do judge an OS by how it appeals to the senses. And Vista is a much better OS then XP. I've never had a problem with Vista - especially now that all the driver support is out for it.
How could you NOT judge an OS by it's appearance? Would you buy a Pontiac Aztek if it had an engine that could do 0-60 in 4 seconds? Nope.
Looks more diced.
I don't know much, but at least I know the difference between peppers and tomatoes.
@IBEJohnson Hey to say pepper I say... Well pepper. You win.
Hmm...I'm thinking of changing my screen name.
@n2whyteguyz
I just got this...LOL
Yeah, he's cutting that really weirdly. Either he's just in-between dicing the pepper (and, for some reason, leaving some parts of the already-cut rings undiced), or for some reason it's a comfort thing where he needs to hold the remainder of the pepper while he dices with one hand.
I mean, obviously you'd want to do the cutting off from the pepper before bothering to dice everything, but maybe the BezelMonster on the countertop is telling him differently.
@Sean O It also looks like hes holding to slide the peppers out of the way while he slices the rest.
Its sad that the peppers bring more attention in this ad then the product.
That's one wicked-sharp stylus.
INTERNET? In MY table?!
@ribo
It's more likely than you think.
WTF is with the BEZEL? Seriously, why do all companies think we want tons of useless space around the edge of our devices?
Wow.... brutha needs to learn how to hold a knife.
@StVincent
he also needs to learn that it's easier to de-seed a pepper before dicing, not after.
Never hire a product model with tats, it's the first thing everybody notices, not the actual product!
@To Hell
I didn't even notice he had tattoos until you said so. Actually the first thing I noticed was the pepper.
@To Hell
First thing I noticed was the object with the huge freakin' bezel.
Second was the chick
Third was the better and hands holding a knife.
Then I saw the guy and tats after you mentioned it.
@Shiori
Never hire a pepper for your product shot! It...
@To Hell
Sadly the first thing some of these internet losers spotted was race and decided to call the guy "brotha" and use faux ebonics in "peep my tats".
Pathetic really.
Looks like it's got a camera...
Archos 1, iPad 0
I'd be satisfied with no more shoddy hardware. 3 returns, Archos, 3 RMA in less than half a year.
id hit it
@nwhat
Not sure he'd let you...plus he has a knife.
@Tes
I have a gun
Big toaster.
The pepper is diced and sliced.
You get the best of both worlds.
@JimJam707
And have you seen the sasauge pepper next to the cut/diced one?
Bezel so that when picking up with messy fingers mess goes on bezel not screen. La la la...
It looks sort of like a Chumby type device.
@voodoo
?

@thaddeussmith
haha ...exactly what I was thinking.
Theres only one Chumlee
I can't wait for there to be a bezel-less device. I mean completely bezel-less. Like down to the mm. I want just a display on the front and nothing else. No side buttons either because that looks bad too. How would you turn it on you say? A button on the back. BOOM.
