Samsung's R30 and R80 Touch of Color laptops now on sale
Plain they are not, and Samsung's Touch of Color laptops that were launched at the tail-end of CES this year have finally begun to ship. As of now, the Core 2 Duo-equipped R430, Core i3-packin' R480, and Core i5-based R580 / R780 are all on sale at Best Buy, with prices ranging from $629.99 to $829.99. The whole lot seems to be available for shipping or direct pickup, so give that source link a look to figure out which configuration fits you best. Or don't -- no pressure.

i3 with Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD. Am i wrong or bestbuy?
Anyway, i will say "NO" to the R80. Too much glossy.

We've had the R580 in stores for MONTHS in Australia...

@Adeptus its latest version is the r580 which also has a built-in DVD burner and a 6-cell battery. The LCD is LED backlit and has a HD resolution of 1366 x 768. First: http://bit.ly/samsung-r430-r530-updates

It's been in shops here since the end of January.
The core i5 version with the nvidia 330 and led screen in it has been selling out at Best Buy for a few months already. It's a great deal for what it is.
Same prices as the iPad - hmmmm.
Meh.

@n0ne

We've been selling these at best buy for like 3 weeks now.
The touch pad is horrid! If you don't believe me, go try it for yourself.
Why do all of the engadget editors hate on colored gadgets so much???? I love engadget, but really; read any post about a gadget that comes in a cool color, almost all of them the editor says something disparaging. Darren & Joanna especially. Any editors feel like answering me?
I know that having different colors on a gadget does not make it better and you shouldn't buy something based on that, but for a single product, why not have color choices? I understand that some peoples favorite is black or silver, but there's almost always those options if there are other ones. Just wondering, not trying to troll or anything.
@iCello in this case, red is the only option.
