Microsoft One and Two Project Pink phones appear in Verizon database? (updated)
What's this? Two devices apparently of Microsoft origin in Verizon's database prefixed by MSONE and MSTWO on the eve of Microsoft's big presser -- an event widely thought (and even announced) to be the unveiling of Project Pink. We're also seeing Sharp, the Sidekick manufacturer named on the Turtle and Pure looking handsets that passed through the FCC. Really though, "One" and "Two?" Surely those words are just placeholders awaiting today's event before getting properly named, right? Who knows... when you're believed to be launching a competing platform against your own Windows Phone 7 OS while simultaneously keeping the WinMo 6.x dreams alive for businesses, hell, anything goes.
Update: 9 to 5 Mac is suggesting that the actual retail names of the devices will be Kin. As in next of, as in family. Since the company has an event in just a few hours, we'll obviously know for certain very soon, but it does look likely given the use of Kin in the listing above.

@shizzledmg
Yeah, I'm a bit apprehensive myself over what this might be. But, I'll just have to wait till lunch break to find out :(
But as discussed int eh podcast near the end, I think it would be absolutely hilarious if Ballmer was there, finished the underwhelming event, starts to walk off the stage, stops, turns, goes, "oh, one more thing" Pulls out a courier from his trench coat, turns it on, and then runs.
@Archon
+1
Heres hoping Ballmer pulls it off!
Well, Microsoft is known for bad naming...

@OCEAN CLAK
It was never Windows Phone 7 Series Phone. That's like saying iPhone Phone.

@OCEAN CLAK

Pink is yummy. Seriously what's with the Pink name?
@Delirium Trigah It's aimed to girls. You will see. After 10 AM PST come back and let me know if I was wrong
Zzzzzz, but they prob have cut and paste, now that would be funny!!!
I really have absolutely no interest in either of these phones. Unless Microsoft unveils something awesome, I don't really care.
one and two are for each courier screen according to mp3hustle.com
HMmm... Made by Sharp... THey will probably just be Sidekicks ... :( Never been a Sidekick lover... I hope they throw us a better bone ***woof** **woof**
pink phone will suffer the osbourne effect of previous microsoft failure winmo, winpho, wince (palmtops) etc
Here's how to tell if these phones are for you.
Are you a 16 year old girl?
If not, these phones aren't for you. Now quit whining about it.
Well according to sources, the name Pink isnt going to stay much longer, as we will find out today, but in all seriousness; Microsoft needs to come out of their slump right now, and hopefully this will be the time to do that. I know winpho7 looks amazing, but the mact of the fatter is its not out yet! Microsoft needs to throw some interesting news around to get stock prices to rise. That company needs to start moving around again. just like when XP came out
arnt they just feature phones instead of smartphones?
so there basically aimed at anyone who doesnt want a smartphone?
These do seem like Sidekick replacements. I wonder how much the media will try to portray them as iPhone competitors through ignorance or malice.
@RonC
I would imagine hardly at all.
ENGADGET: Please report on what apps you can get for these phones. Can they run Java apps like the Danger Sidekick (which was based around Java), or did Microsoft castrate this ability?
I LIKE TURTLES...
9 to 5 Mac has it right: the Kin 1 & Kin 2.
Still no word on the Google Nexus One 2010 Phone Series XP?
Anyone else as thrilled as I am by these marvels of technology MS is about to unleash on an unsuspecting public? Seriously? With all the decent cheapo feature phones and low end smart phones out there what could this "Pink" or "Kin" or whatever you call it going to offer that isn't already provided by another device? Well except maybe the pink color.
Guys.... Checkout www.kin.com .... the devices are out on the web...
@tBone
I just checked it out....had to see if the website was legit first through bing though.
if that's really how the interface is, it's looks really killer. I think Microsoft has something good on their hands with it.
Just so we're clear here... Project Pink has nothing to do with Mobile 7 or not?
2 in the pink, one in the stink.... oh you're talking about phones.... never mind.
