Interesting....Sprint needs to create more buzz about this device..
I mean even though I'm an AT&T guy the one thing we can all agree on is that Verizon's "droid" marketing push has been pretty stellar so far. Not talking about actual results but as far as getting the name and the brand out there? Perfection IMO.
IF Sprint had any clue they'd be doing the same thing...
@TheRogueFFAngel // your are on the money. A big ad campaign is needed prior to launch, in order for the Evo and Sprint to hit a home run. Especially when its the first 4G handset.
Lets see, how could you create buzz.... wait, wait I have it! You go into a few bars in hipster neighborhoods... then, wait for it, you "lose" the phone. See, then the media would go all crazy about their new product!
@TheRogueFFAngel Yeah i agree. BUT suprisingly enough, the word is getting out some how.... I just found out that 4 of my friends plan to get this device day-of, and two of them are girls who are way out of the tech loop most of the time! so they found out somehow ^_^
@Myst3ry// the issue is that hardcore geeks know about these types of devices cause we look for them. But for your average user, a very good marketing campaign is what attracts them to the stores. I.e. droid, iPhone, bb storm and so on.
@TheRogueFFAngel Well hopefully when it comes out, they'll start commercializing it a bit more. Since Sprint turned down the IPhone twice and is now the company in the big three that doesn't have one, people start to switch. Because people want IPhones and aren't educated enough to see there are other phones! And this one pwns.
During his WWDC keynote, Steve Jobs touted iCloud as a service that will sync many of your Apple devices, for free. Macs, iPhones, iPads, and even Windows computers can synchronize documents, contacts, calendar appointments, and other data.

Verizon already released the first Droid Incredible Ad:

@Beatnik // but not until launch day. The incredible is piggy backing off the moto droid.
@Beatnik
Verizon really knows how to market the Droid series. That was awesome.
@TheRogueFFAngel You're right!

I respectfully disagree! Once the Evo is available and You don't know it and don't buy it, It;s your loss, Not Sprint's. HAHA!
