Samsung's Android-powered S-Pad tablet with 7-inch Super AMOLED in August?
Know what's hot like 2001? Tablet computers. Just like that a product category has been reborn and proven viable as a money making machine. Now the scramble is on to fill the void by companies big and small. Samsung, a big name in the UMPC debacle (that's the Q1 to the right) with its own confirmed tablet ambitions, looks prepped to deliver product this summer if Korean pub Etnews is to be believed. First up, the OS: Android. Samsung's so-called "S-Pad" (the tentative name spawned under its S-Project initiative) will display Google's smartphone OS on a supposed 7-inch Super AMOLED display with WiFi and 3G data connectivity -- the latter supplied by SK Telecom who will supposedly help distribute the device. It'll also bring an iPad-esque USB dock and content from Kyobo books (Korea's largest bookstore) and Samsung's own Samsung Apps application store. If true, we should expect to see Samsung's S-Pad launch in August. While no price has been given you can expect the cost to be exorbitant thanks to that extra large Super AMOLED display unless SK Telecom can push it down through ample subsidies.[Thanks, JH Yee]

Looks interesting but I'm not willing to learn Korean in order to read books.
I would rather have android then apple at least you can go on all the net not restricted as apple is but personally I would prefer a tablet with full os not mobile os
@jasonfreeman27 Ask for yourself: what do I want to do with a desktop OS that can't be done with a mobile OS and justify's the maintenance that needs to be done, a poorer battery-life (or heavier/ticker device with the same battery-life) and a less touch input based design/GUI.

You do realize that the only thing missing on the web from Apple products is flash (mostly ads because most of the major video providers offer h264 options for Apple devices). Flash has yet to show up on any mobile platform. Despite Adobes constant promises, the dates keep slipping.
@(Unverified) Do you also download 1000GB's or play games on your phone?
@jasonfreeman27 As opposed to you who blindly believe that a product is total crap simply because it was made by Apple? While there are plenty of huge Apple fans, there are far more people who hate Apple simply to follow the masses. I switched to Mac during the vista fiasco, but would have no problem buying a windows 7 machine with equal build quality.
I would consider a Samsung tablet with Google Chrome OS than Andorid or Bada.
Samsung signed a agreement with Barnes&Nobles in US for E-books and a Samsung tablet with Google Chrome OS could use the Google E-book market.
It is nos just a SuperAMOLED display, the actual 1Ghz Hummingbird processor, the Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi(n), 3G and expansion SD or MicroSD slot is more interesting.
