Creating a game machine (or other high-performance applications) out of a flat panel in 2010 is going to cause heat problems if there is not enough cooling and ventilation. Research this before buying at the tech sites like Anandtech and Ars Technica.
Personally, in 2010, I'd go for an Atom/ION based machine that has proven itself to be a much lower consumer of power and generate a lot less heat. Check out the other Lenovo IdeaCentre models and reviews at Newegg.com.
