When the new iPhone finally is released, it's going to be a surprise to a lot of people. I'd venture to say that the average person on the streets doesn't even know a new iPhone is coming out, let alone what it looks like or what colors it will be available in.
@ebgolfin the amount of coverage this thing [iphone 4G/HD] gets, everyone knows a new iphone is coming out. Hell, the leaks were publicised in englands national press.

The 3G and 3Gs were both really nice looking phones, this is just butt ugly, super long and just so sharp looking...no thanks, i will stick with the evo 4G, iphone OS is so old and boring anyways, i don't like having to wait for jailbreaks to make it even slightly less boring.
I think people should just start accepting that android is the future, and far superior.
It's a matter of opinion. I find this much better looking than the concave iPhone 3GS. I like the 200,000 app for everything functionality. I'm not interested in Android. Just like you have the freedom to choose to buy it, others are free to choose what THEY like. Don't dictate what people should buy for themselves.
@MoonWalkerCTE i would agree with you, but i quite dislike this white one, the black looks pretty nice, but to me the white one looks rather tack, and cheap :S not at all what apple prides itself on

You do realize your coveted 200,000 apps consist of multiple duplicates, with at least 40% of the apps being total shit, or porn. Honestly, the app store is full of shit, with maybe 35% of the apps being actually useful to the majority. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything, just recommending they move on to a less boring of a mobile operating system :).

You do realise the most downloaded Android app is a task manager? Also having tens of alternative apps for each function? But a much lower rate of well polished ones. It's the same story.

However I HATE the fact that it has the same screen size however...I'm gonna wait for the conference and if I hear what I really want (Evo 4G like screen) then I'll be satisfied. However thats the key for me. I want/need a bigger screen for watching those HD vids.
No big screen? No buy from me. I'm willing to wait for the last year on my contract to run out. Plus it will allow me to wait and see what HP/Palm bring out in terms of phone hardware over the next few months.

Not true at all, use an android phone before you make statements like that. The android marketplace has a much higher percentage of quality apps than the app store has.

Buddy... Android is not gonna beat Apple. They never will. Android UI is ugly. Android is not speedy like the Iphone OS. They say is gonna be faster on the next version.. Yea we will see about that. @technerd2345 im not sure apps are gonna matter when it comes to portable gaming anymore... i mean i play final fantasy 9 on my phone constantly at 60fps... phones are so powerful they can play massive and amazing games like that, although angry birds and pocket god were super badass and i DO actually miss them
