Motorola Shadow glimpsed in the wild: 4.1-inch screen, 8MP camera, OMAP3630 processor?
Leave it to the very same poster who teased the Motorola Shadow's Getting Started manual, wnrussell of Howard Forums, to provide a pretty clear shot of the device itself -- yep, that's a HDMI out port -- and reveal some purported specs. Here's the claimed technical details: 4.1-inch screen, TI OMAP 3630 processor (a 720MHz ARM Cortex A8), 8GB internal storage, 8 megapixel camera. Yeah, we can buy all that, especially since he's clearly got the device in hand -- so now it's up to Verizon to let us know when we can do the same.

Straight from a source at Texas Instruments:
The Shadow is due to release in JULY 2010 - along with the successor to the droid, Droid 2.
Two seperate phones coming in july
@cavillis
Oh really like the sound of that!
Hope hes right, according to the guy who posted this pic, the Shadow has been pushed back till aug...
720 Mhz? thats it? i was really hoping 1 GHz was become the standard quickly...
@hyadav17 Honestly, for the current batch of applications, there isn't much that's CPU limited that the difference between 700MHz and 1GHz will be night and day.
There are games, however, that will showcase a faster GPU, which the OMAP has (the SGX 535 here is roughly 4x the polygon rate of the 8250 inside Nexus One).
Until applications that really tax the CPU and specifically the floating point (NEON) portion -- we won't see Snapdragon have much of an advantage over OMAP.
So now i cant decide wether i want this or the incredible, if this is an amoled screen and is running motoblur then ill take the incredible
Well, this is looking pretty nice. If it comes out in June, I might get this instead of switch to Sprint for the you-know-what.
If Palm would have made a device with a few minor tweaks to webOS and great hardware specs they could have done just fine. Hardware specs similar to those of; HTC Evo 4G, Dell Lightning, and Motorola Shadow.
Ok ... Qualcomm offers better support for their chipset that's why companies chose them .. can't say same about omap Texas instrument ...
not even 1gHZ? ha yeah im not buying it. im going with the droid incredible.
